WNY Plumbing
About us
Western New York Plumbing Co. was started in 1960. The business was quickly expanded when they were awarded 1970’s apartment projects like Slate Bottom Creek and Garden Village Apartments and as a New Home building boom started in Cheektowaga, Lancaster and Amherst. The company focus shifted to Single Family New Construction where our reputation for quality and innovation evolved. Today, Western New York Plumbing Co Owners Dan Greene & Barrett Greene continue their father’s dream and share the passion for quality product and exceptional service.

"Thank you for taking the time to rate us on Angies List. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and business!"
I would whole-heartedly recommend WNY Plumbing. I found their prices to be on par with the quality of the product they installed. (That is, they weren't the cheapest, but I also did not order the cheapest tank. I would rather pay a little more for quality.)

illegal plumbing practices. Our master bathroom now has to be entirely
re-plumbed due to illegal T fittings under the toilet, having the shower
and bathtub upstream of the toilet and having the toilet plumbing run
INTO the vent stack (illegal). There is also no pitch to the sewer lines, so the water does
not flow. All of this is not consistent with standard plumbing
practice, and the T joint is reportedly illegal to use under a toilet in
the state of NY (should have been a and quot;Jand quot;, and the shower and bathtub downstream of the toilet with a Y fitting). They also used substandard piping for the water lines,
not IPEX, the type of which is usually run only in trailer parks, not
$400k homes. Within 1 month of moving in, our sump pump failed and
flooded our basement, and they refused to take responsibility, stating
that we had somehow dislodged the float. They also blamed all the
episodes of the flooding into the kitchen on leaking tile grout in the
shower, which was not true. The entire master bath now has to be
re-done, as well as the entire kitchen ceiling, as there is mold damage
from multiple flooding episodes. In a home that is less than 4 years old. Interestingly, our builder no longer uses this company. I am not surprised.
"About WNY Plumbing: Last year (2013), we installed the interior plumbing in 250+ Single Family New Homes in Western New York. We install the majority of the plumbing for the following builder customers; Marrano Homes, Forbes Capretto Homes, Natale Builders, Julius Blum Builders, Tesmer Builders, Z-Custom Builders, Burke Builders, Rubino Builders and Grau Builders. We also work with many other Builders, Developers, Remodelers and Private Owners. Some Facts: The Interior Plumbing in this New Home was inspected by The Town of Orchard Park before insulation/drywall. We installed FlowGuard Gold CPVC water supply at this home, 80% of our Builder Customers (noted above) use this product. This is uncomfortable, but here is what happened... August 2008 – WNY Plumbing completed their Interior Plumbing. September 2008 – The under-mounted kitchen sink fell from the counter top, the Counter Top Installer did not follow manufacturer instructions when installing the sink (using appropriate clip). That same day, we repaired a hole drilled into the waste line, drilled by the Electrician. August 2009 - The basement flooded...4” of water. There was Construction Debris in the sump pump pit, the pump impeller jammed causing the pump to fail. January 2010 – WNY Plumbing repaired a hole in a waste pipe in a closet; the Shelving Contractor installed a bracket screw into the waste pipe. March 2010 – WNY Plumbing received a call the Master Shower was leaking, we determined it was the Tile Floor Contractor by running water directly into the drain opening for 30+ minutes with no leak through the ceiling...the ceiling only leaked when water was directed onto the tile shower floor. We have had ethical and organizational issues with this builder in the past; we did not accept blame for problems caused by the builder or other contractors...that is why we no longer work for this builder. We are very sorry this happened to [member name removed]."
