In February of 2014, we noticed interior water staining on the ceiling above our fireplace. We contacted Hal McWilliams who told us the water was condensation from our chimney. However, we do not have a chimney. The home's gas fireplace is vented to the side of the house. Then we noticed addition water stains in the kitchen and front entryway. Mr. McWilliams sent two men, who cleared some of the ice on the roof. But, they said they could not do any repairs until the weather remained consistently above 40. When we did not hear back from Hal, we called him again in the Spring. He left a voice message stating that he took care of the problem while we were at work. The interior water damage increased in size with mold forming in an adjacent walk-in closet. We continued to reached out to Hal who gave us repeated excuses for the leaking, from not having blowed insulation in our attic instead of the standard fiberglass insulation to condensation from the roofing nails. We even put blue pool dye on the shingles, which showed up on our interior ceiling, proving that the roof was indeed leaking. But, Hal refused to except responsibility and placed the blame on other causes. So in August 2015, we filed a claim with GAF, who informed us that Hal was no longer a certificate GAF roofer. Finally to resolve the situation, we hired a second roofing company to fix the leaking problem. They had to remove sections to the new roof that Hal had installed and replace it, as well as take care of the leaking we were experiencing in the valleys. Since the repair job, we have not had any addition water coming into the house. Unfortunately, we are still left with the interior damage to our home, as well as the additional costs to us because HomeTeck Roofing and Remodeling.

We then and filed a claim with GAF, who informed us that Hal was no longer a GAF certified roofer. In the end, we ended up hiring Irish

We recently moved in and during a very heavy rainstorm, a leak occurred in the kitchen and garage. They repaired the roof and we had them replace the siding in that area in anticipation of having all of the siding and soffits replaced in the future. They were much more comprehensive in their recommendation for the repair than other companies who gave us estimates, and they were able to complete the work in a much more timely fashion. The workers arrived early on the scheduled day, completed the work, and cleaned up. Hal was very accommodating. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

Everything Hometeck did was well done. Our only complaint was with the subcontractor Leaf Relief which was poorly installed on the front side and had to be redone. Hopefully it will be OK now and work as advertised. Hal was very easy to work with and I feel also gave us a very fair price. I would recomend him.

I was very happy with the experience. Hal was always easy to reach with questions, and the roofing crew showed up when they said they would. The crew was polite, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. The entire job took a day and a half, because they had plenty of people here working on it. I would use them again for other remodeling needs, and would recommend them to anyone needing a new roof. The price was excellent and the work was great.
