Countrywide Heating & Air Conditioning

Informed us that they would arrive between 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., however they did not arrive until 7:40 p.m. (They did not have the courtesy to call and indicate that they were running late.) My brother had prepared furnace for viewing by removing the panels to the furnace for easy access.  We had previously replaced the sensor but they told us that it was the igniter that was malfunctioning.  Technicians  mentioned that they did not have that model igniter in the truck but they may have one at the warehouse, in Pompey ( 10 miles from our home.) They could not guarantee that the part was in stock and we would be responsible to pay for them to go to the warehouse to find out. They then suggested that they had several igniters in the truck, (not the same model as our furnace,) but it may work on our furnace. They attempted to put the igniter on the bracket but it broke.  They retrieved the second igniter and assembled it, however it did not fit onto the furnace. It was now almost 9:00 p.m.. Technicians stated that they could not do anything tonight, and would have to wait until tomorrow.(It was 2 degrees out, and my parents were without heat.  They would have to charge us another service fee plus the labor and part to assemble it tomorrow.  He suggested that my brother buy the part and do it himself tomorrow.  They cut the wires so that it will be easy to assemble tomorrow.  The next morning, my brother purchased the part and attempted to attach it to the bracket, however the technicians had cut the wires too short.  My brother had to splice the wires to make it long enough to attach to the igniter.

They did a good job. I rate them fairly and I would use them again in the future.
