Beautifully, the owner came out very quickly, drew up a plan and quote
and was back in 2 hours! His employees are hardworking, neat and
professional. Owner came back after it was complete to check on the
outcome. They were outstanding and I HIGHLY recommend them! I have a
gorgeous new front walk, which makes my home look spectacular. Good
going Mueller Farms!

The initial experience was average, and the work was decent at first glance. However, a retaining wall and walkway system quickly began to fail. There were issues with settling and drainage. We were told to expect some settling after the first winter, and that they would come back and reset whatever needed repair. The following spring they came out, did the minimal amount of work to get it looking ok again, and assured us it was all set. EVERY following spring we would have the same issue, only worse. I called, complained, showed them what was wrong. They acknowledged that there was a problem but never did anything more than the simplest cosmetic clean up. After several years the wall had "settled" so much that it was falling down. Caving in on pool equipment that it was built to protect. I had a number of contractors out to look at the issue, they all said the same thing. "It just wasn't built right." "It doesn't have the proper foundation." "There is an obvious drainage issue with water coming THROUGH the wall". They all encouraged me to contact the original contractor and have them repair it. After arguing with Muller Farms year after year about fixing their work, I made one last attempt. Knowing that if they wouldn't stand by their work it would cost me thousands of dollars to have someone else come in, dig the whole thing out and rebuild it properly. Well... they refused to repair the mess they had made and actually gave me an estimate for how much it was going to cost me for a problem they had refused to deal with all through the warranty period. Plus, the estimate was just for adding a few more blocks to the top of the wall, not actually digging it out and resetting it which is what needed to be done since it had moved nearly a foot from it's original position. I refused to pay them another cent. So, I had no choice but to hire another contrator and pay the cost.
When the wall was dug up, the new contractor found no reinforcement behind the wall, no stone for drainage, no foundation, and a drainage pipe that was disconnected. No wonder it was sliding down the hill!
I understand that mistakes are made, but a contractor that does not stand behind their work is unacceptable. Unfortunately I have no recourse other than posting a review and telling my story. I would NEVER recommend Mueller Farms to anyone. There are so many contrators in the area that do quality work and stand behind it. I plan on writing a very favorable review of those that I had repair this job.

They growing rapidly and doing a very beautiful job. They are competitive for sure. I am really happy with them. They do commercial and residential work too.

The Sales person submitting the Estimate was very professional and the diagrams and explanation of work to be done were impressive. The first workman to show up was to bury the drainage. He was delayed a day or so, because he needed to get different equipment, but he did the work as expected and cleaned up the area when his job was finished. The workers installing the paver walkway showed up several days later. They were very pleasant and got right to work. Unfortunately, they thought they were done until we discussed the specifics of our Contract. They were supposed to extend the existing walkway, not to simply replace it! After realizing their mistake, they quickly made the proper adjustments. Communication with the Sales person at this time was not good. No one else stepped in to represent the company when we knew mistakes had been made and needed answers.

Crew arrived on first day and got right to work.They were knowledgeable, courteous, and professional.They left the area clean at the end of each day's work.They took time to answer any questions we had.From start to finish (4 days) it was a positive experience. We would not hesitate to use Mueller Farms again.

The work was very nice. They did a beautiful job on my front porch. I would use them in the future.

They quality of work was good and they said what they were going to do. They were a little slow on follow up questions, I asked them. They were good with quality of work and the price quote given. I will use them again in future.

I'm pleased with their performance and service. If I ever have a question it's very easy to call them up and ask them to come by and take care of stuff. For instance, shoveling snow. If I call for any reason they respond favorably.

The main goal of replacing the wall went very well, the end result looks great! It met all my expectations. The work took 4 days instead of two but that was no hardship for us. One minor complain was the cleanup in my driveway was not thorough, there are small pieces of old railroad ties littering the area.

The secondary task of repairing the remaining wall ran into some problems. There were no usable 8' railroad ties, only several 4' ties were acceptable. The resulting repairs didn't meet my expectations cosmetically. Since it's impossible to get railroad ties around here anymore I discussed the situation with Mueller and they cut the price of that work (which was a small portion of the overall price) in half. That was acceptable to me. They were very responsive to my concerns about this issue which I appreciated.

Good results or rainfalls. Winter thawing to be determined.
Came within estimate.

Work was done in a very professional manner. Workmen arrived promptly on the day promised, worked consistently throughout the day and were courteous and accommodating.
