Upon driving home after oil change appointment for my Toyota, all oil leaked out of my vehicle onto my driveway. Prestige claimed the cause was a failed oil cooler pipe and replaced the part as part of a Toyota warranty. It is now 4 months later and I took the vehicle back to Prestige to diagnose an engine knock that started soon after the oil leak. Prestige initially could not diagnose a problem and we had to drive to the shop to identify the engine knock noise for them. Then Prestige diagnosed the problem as rod bearing failure and acknowledged the problem was caused by the loss of oil due to the oil leak from the failed oil cooler pipe. Toyota and Prestige initially offered to assist with the cost of the repair which involved a $7000 engine replacement, however, after taking my engine apart they decided that they would not assist in the cost of the repair and felt that only repair necessary was to replace the rod bearings. They went on to further claim that the engine damage was not caused when the oil cooler pipe failed leaking all oil from the vehicle. After over 6 years of using Prestige Toytota's service department to service my vehicle, they have provide me with very poor and misleading customer service for this experience and are not a reputable repair shop in my opinion.

We went to the dealership to see a used Toyota Camry. The vehicle appeared to be in great shape and drove well. When we got there we waited for a while before someone helping us, though there were not any other customers we could see and we had been in contact with someone before we got there. The salesperson was very laid back and went to get the vehicle. We took the car for a test drive and the salesperson came with us navigating us around which was helpful in the dark, but not really getting anywhere that you could take it for a good test drive. We didn't get to take it on the highway or get it above 55. The first thing we noticed when we got in the vehicle was the smell of cigarette smoke. We are not smokers. There were some burn marks on the seats as well. The salesperson allowed us some time to check out the vehicle in the parking lot when we got back. We filled out some paperwork inside the shop and there was some confusion as to pricing. The cost of the vehicle changed during the course of the discussion due to differences in internet pricing and some confusing discounts. It was difficult to follow. We finally were able to agree on the price listed on the internet. We agreed to keep in touch. The salesperson did follow up with us via phone in a courteous manner. They respected our privacy after we explained we weren't interested. A few months later we did get a phone call asking if we might still be interested in the vehicle. However, there were no phone calls after that.

It usually costs about $100 but they generally find something else that needs to be repaired. They always get my car fixed the first time; I have never had to bring anything back that they have worked on. It seems to me that they are very expensive. I have been using them for the last couple of years.
