Initially, well - my phone call was answered and a promise was made to come to see the work needed to be done. Prior the visit, per the business owner request, I sent picture of the roof where the moss was accumulated. However, after that, I never received any response and my subsequent email and phone calls were ignored, which I see as a sign of complete disrespect of the business' potential customers.

Nick's company NSG, was totally professional from beginning to end. Nick immediately responded to the job request. He assessed the roof, sent an estimate within a day and gave a 2 week window to get the job done. Within the week, he had the materials at the job site, protected from the weather. On the day scheduled, he arrived with a great crew! First they ripped off two layers of shingles and replaced any rotted boards found. All debris was removed from the house/yard, without a trace of anything left. Next they installed appropriate weather shields to the roof and the chosen roofing shingles. The crew was extremely knowledgable, hard working and friendly. They did such a professional job, we decided to have them install new soffits and facia. Again, done quickly. I can't say enough about NSG and their professionalism. I would hire them again in a heart beat! Soup to nuts, this crew was in and out in three days, that's including the additional work we had them do. I've had two previous local roofers promise (for years) to assess the job, but never showed up. I was getting frustrated with finding someone who does what he says he will. Finally we found NSG and couldn't be more satisfied : ) Nick, Chris, Louie, Bobbie, and the rest who I don't know names, you guys are THE BEST!!!

Nick and his crew are very professional. They arrived at 7:30 am and stripped the roof. Some wood rot needed to be repaired and Nick replaced just what was needed. The work was completed but 5:30 and my yard cleaned. I had to work during the job, but nick kept me informed through text with pictures. I will definitely use NSG Construction again.

We got a total of 6 quotes for the roof, all ranging from $7,000 to the highest being $13,000. Nick from NSG came in as one of the lowest ones, but not the lowest. During the first phone call with him we spent 30 minutes talking about different material types, shingle brands, techniques, etc. He was very patient and answered every question I had, and responded to emails very promptly. His crew showed up at 6:30 Monday morning and began stripping the roof. Before long we came across many pieces of plywood that needed to be replaced. Nick offered several options as to how to go about remedying the situation, and we took his suggestion to piece mail just the bad ones. The roof was stripped and covered with ice/water shield and underlayment by 4:30, the end of day 1. My yard was raked clean and the materials were stacked neat and orderly. Day 2 started around 7:30 with the crew brining he shingles up onto the roof. For the next 8 hours All the guys (7 I think) nailed away and wrapped up around 3:30, just before the rain. The site was cleaned and everything looked great. The next day I climbed onto the roof and inspected the job up close. Everything looked great, except I was not 100% pleased with the aesthetics on the chimney flashing. I emailed Nick with my concern, and he returned promptly the next morning and completely re-did it, then texted me photos while I was at work to get my approval. Now try getting THAT service from a contractor. I am 110% satisfied and would highly recommend NSG construction Service. It is also worth noting that during the quote process, Nick provided me with several emails for references. I contacted every single one of them, and got responses from most all of them (over 10). Every single one of them had noting but great things to say about NSG, which really put my mind at ease.

Nicholas S. Guglielmetti (NSG) had done some work in the neighborhood and I received good recommendations, so I asked him to inspect our roof, which was leaking here and there.  I was especially attracted to Nick because he told one of our neighbors that he did NOT need a new roof.  Nick said that ours might last another five years or so, but that it was approaching the end of its lifespan.  We decided to go with a replacement, this WITHOUT knowing that Tropical Storm Irene was coming.  I confess that I did not comparison shop, so I left the rating under price "n/a".  The price seemed fair: it's a big roof with lots of angles, dormers, and a steep pitch.  Nick E-mailed me the contract on July 2, 2011.  I sent him a check for the materials ($6,200), including an extra $650 for a replacement operable skylight, not in the original contract.  Work was to begin in the fourth week of July.

It turned out that Nick's schedule changed, and he asked if he could begin work in the third week of July, and I agreed. The week was blistering hot, the hottest of the summer, and so the work took longer than anticipated, nearly the entire week.  I'm not sure how Nick's workers, all of whom spoke Spanish, survived the heat, but they did.  Everything proceeded according to contract, with no problems, other than the weather.  Some contingency carpentry had to be done--a couple of sheets of plywood were rotted and some shingles needed to be replaced on the dormers.  I provided some paint and Nick's workers finished up painting the new wood the following week.  NSG cleaned up and removed all debris, and I paid Nick the contractual balance ($6,700) for labor, removal, and dump costs.  Installation of the replacement skylight, contingency carpentry, painting, and installation of some new ice melting wires I had bought added up to $600.

Later in the summer, Tropical Storm Irene hit, and dumped 6 - 9 inches of rain (accounts differ) on our new roof, and not a drop leaked through.  I was very pleased that we had made the decision to replace the roof, and very pleased with NSG Construction Services.  I recommend them.
