In short, he solved all the afforementioned issues quickly and expertly. Hugh, the owner, is very easy to work with and stands by his work. A very minor issue occurred after he was done and he promptly came and fixed it. A contractor that will do that is, in my experience, a rare find.
We like the stairs he built so much that we now make excuses to go down to the cellar to use them. I highly recommend using HNI builders. Go ahead, give HNI a call.

They did exactly what they said they were going to do. And it came down well and we were surprised with that. We don't have any problems with it. They took it down good and nice. They repaired the building from the pieces they took out. They started on a certain time and ended just like they said they were going to. They cleaned everything back up. They were really good about it. It was wonderful. It cost a lot of money but it worked and we had to have it done in a hurry. We contacted them now to put another porch up. Even though they took the porch down, they want to charge a lot of money to put a small 10 X 12 wooden porch up so we're not even going to have them. We're having it done for $2000 but they wanted $6000 to do it so we said, "Forget it." But what they took down was a lot of brick plus they had to do some beams and had to melt them down to get them off the house. They did a lot of work for that. They were awesome taking it down for what they did for us. I called them back again about the porch because they did what they were supposed to do and I appreciated that. I will call them again for price but if it'll work out, it'll work out and if it won't then it won't. We have a lot of work to do on and off when we can and I'd like to rely on them to do that but if they're going to be doing that, I won't be calling them. It's a little bit too much. For taking down our porch, the price was okay because we had somebody else check it and it was a whole lot more. You would not know there's a porch there by the time they got done. They even packed the house so no water got into it.

Hugh did a remarkable job. We are very satisfied with his work. He was friendly and polite. He impressed us as as being honest and forthright. We also appreciated that he kept his work site orderly and did not damage property.
Moreover, Hugh was able to troubleshoot issues or us concerning a part of our roof and also able to recommend a licensed electrician to us for another matter.
We will continue to use Hugh Name IT in the future and have already scheduled him to some work inside our home.

Hugh Name It was great to work with. He was professional, prompt and listen to me. His price was very reasonable. They were at all appointments and the job on time. The work took exactly how long they said it would. They came in at the quoted price. The work was done professionally and looked great after completion. I would use his services again.

Everything turned out great. He was friendly and on time. He was running late at one point and called to let me know he would be late and I really appreciated that. He is very polite.

He made it into a well thought out, beautifully constructed room. He preserved the architectural detail so the room is beautiful instead of just functional. Almost 3 years later I am still thrilled with the job he and his crew did. Hugh has excellent work habits - he shows up on time and works normal business hours. The job lasted about a month and every Friday afternoon he swept up and stacked his equipment for the weekend. He gave a well thought out, detailed, written estimate and stuck to it. Hugh was the highest bidder on this job but I trust him with preserving the integrety of our home.

Hugh started on 11/29/10 and finished right on schedule. He showed up on time everyday and worked the entire day with hardly a break. The work came in right on the estimate. I never felt any stress and was completety confident in Hugh. Although his price is higher than most other contractors it is well worth it.
