HUBBARD PLUMBING

Called Steve last week, set an appointment to be first call today for one of his techs. Technician, Mike, showed up. I walked him around the various spots that needed attention, he confidently said he understood it all, I left him to do his work. A short time later, shorter than I expected, Mike told me he was done, except for one item for which he'd need a part. In the meantime, he not only fixed everything else, but reassembled the item that still needs repair because, while not working 100%, it is still usable until he can get the part. He was polite, professional, neat and respectful of our house, and efficient in his work. I am confident that the balance of the work will be completed with the same level of professionalism, courtesy and efficiency as what was repaired today. Hopefully I won't need much more plumbing work, but won't hesitate to call or recommend Hubbard.

Very well. They were friendly, prompt and did a thorough, quality job. The only thing I don't love is that you can't reach anyone directly. Every time I call I have to leave a message and then the owner (presumably) calls me back. Regardless, he was still able to coordinate their coming with my cesspool guy and the fence guys I needed to have to come remove the fence before the cesspool was installed. He's not the most congenial guy, but the plumbers he sends out are really great.

Steve and crew did much of the work in advance so that the final connection was accomplished quickly and efficiently. Cleanup left something to be desired, but on the whole, the job was done professionally, promptly and on-schedule.

I wish I could give an A+++. These folks are off the charts outstanding. I never had difficulty reaching plumbers and getting them to come fix things until I moved to this area. It seems to me that the small guys are great but easily get too busy and tied up with contractors/big projects. The large companies, well I question the integrity and pricing. Hubbard is just the right size. First, I was called back. In fact, I think I was called back the same day by I think the owner who actually listened and seemed to want to help and fix the problem. I explained that our house is very old and hasn't been kept up and we are restoring it little by little. I explained that I did not want to spend a lot on repairing this cartridge since the entire bathroom is going to be renovated but I just needed to get it functional. The service person came EARLY, took off his shoes and proceeded to take a look and confirmed that I needed a new cartridge. The challenge was that this cartridge was about 25 years old and did not have a make or model number anywhere obvious. At this point, it would have been easy to rip me off for $600 to $1000 and tell me I needed to go through the tile and needed an entire new assembly :( blah blah. Did the service person do that? NO. He proceeded to take the entire thing apart, photographed it, and called two plumbing supply stores to help identify. Oh, he even put the broken part back in and wiped the bathtub. The cartridge was identified, the service person picked up the cartridge and installed it the next day. I was afraid to ask the price. A few weeks later, I got the bill and it was so incredibly reasonable (I know what things cost), I couldn't believe it. On the way out, my service person said not to worry anymore about the right plumber: I would always get a quick call back and if ever it was an emergency, I would get a call right away. I am so grateful and relieved and hope they live up to the high standards they set with me. (BTW, I think my wonderful service person was "Mike")

How wonderful to call a plumber, from my own hometown, and find he is very reliable, HONEST, and good at his job. They arrived on time, they were very polite and friendly. He quickly looked at the radiator valve and right away saw that it was dripping only because the valve had not been tightened properly by the Heating serviceman. They didn't charge for the visit, how great!!!!! They said that should there be any further trouble with the valve, they would take care of it, and even gave me an estimate of how much that would be.

Everything went fine, on schedule, nice job.

I had a boiler that was leaking that was unable to be fixed by Stanley Gelber after 4 visits to my house. I was frustrated and felt like I was getting the run around. I called in Hubbard and they were able to troubleshoot and fix my problem at a reasonable price. I would recommend and use them again.

Hubbard came and diagnosed the problem in the old faucet.  I made a repair date with it and went out an bought a new faucet. Hubbard came back and installed.
Very happy with the plumbers work. However, I now have another project and I can't seem to contact them. There are messages left on answering machines and one contact that didn't prove fruitful.
Must move on.

dAll went fine. The plumber took extra time to inspect other areas inside the ceiling that we were concerned about. Seemed knowledgable and capable.
