While Tom was at my home I asked about an over the range microwave which he took measurements and assured me it was okay to install. When the microwave is delivered, I will again call Tom for installation.
Awful, totally unacceptable. Most of the work he did in both categories was sub standard, would never have met any level of acceptability. Sub standard or no longer available materials. A plug and switch he put in for my hair dryer.. I used it once and the whole plug came out of wall. The plumbing work he did for the second floor, new bathroom, was extremely poor. The toilet had to end up being replaced. The faucets and hardware to supply the tub and shower were poorly installed, they used dirt cheap parts and parts discontinued and not compatible. I had to have a plumber come and fix what these guys did and it cost me a lot of money to get this changed.
The response to my letter of complaint was that it was all the responsibility of his "assistant" who, the owner claims, was totally responsible for the work, and, according to the owner, did a "lousy job" on everything. However, there was no offer to refu8nd any of my money.
So not was the work so bad that most of it had to be redone at a great cost to me, I paid him for nothing and was, in essence, robbed.
