I wanted a baby pink area rug for my first child's nursery. I was originally told it had to be cut from a 5 x 12 foot roll and that I couldn't take a sample home. After speaking with another sales person I was able to get a sample and ordered the product. I later found out it comes in 12 foot by anything roll when I was given a ton extra by mistake - therefore I wanted a better size. After much dispute with the saleswoman, she asked the owner who let me exchange. When I finally got the product in the size I wanted I noticed a small break in the binding. I brought it to the attention of a salesperson, Jason, in the nicest way possible. He rolled his eyes at me and told me to bring it in. He looked at it and said "What, this is a big deal ?" , "Well we're not going to rebind the whole thing" Despite his rudeness, I nicely asked to speak with the owner, Mike, who assured me that if it becomes an issue in the future they will repair it - which is all I needed to know. Overall, I got the product I wanted at an affordable price despite a couple rude sales people. At least the owner has enough business sense to know that customer service is worth a little product loss. This could have easily been an A rating if the sales people gave me correct info. , remained polite, and let me speak with the person in charge when I asked rather than giving me a run around.
Hardwood installed was not tight. Joints between boards you could stand a quarter in. Multiple areas the installer utilized wood putty on the butt ends of the hardwood. Although accepted in the industry, it's a new floor and it was utilized too much. Installers top nailed through the hardwood in areas that did not need to be nailed and then utilized wood putty. Tar paper utilized for moisture barrier under hardwood was carelessly installed under the hardwood prior to starting and tar marks were all over the walls and they had to be repainted. The wood threshold that transitions the hardwood to the carpet is a different wood species.
Multiple calls were made to Warehouse Carpet during installation voicing our concerns. Warehouse Carpet came to jobsite after job was completed and did admit there were multiple issues.
Bigger isn't better - I was unable to get an independent contractor to complete an estimate to repair or replace the flooring job due to conflict of interest with Warehouse Carpet. Warehouse Carpet subs out work to these guys.
Long story short - Dragged out in court - same situation for lawyers due to Warehouse Carpet either installed carpet for lawyers office or was a client in the past and all the big lawyers in town had a conflict of interest.
Ended up paying full price for job. Also payed $1000.00 to fix damaged doors and trim - And lawyer expenses which was close to total price of job.
The warranty on installation is horrible and WAREHOUSE CARPET DOES NOT CARE!!!
