Everything was great with them.

We have worked with Daniel and his team on installing new floors twice. The first time was five years ago. They removed existing floors and installed new floors. They did a great job with great attention to details. We were very pleased with the final work. Then when we purchased another apartment that needs new floors, we immediately thought of Daniel. They did not disappoint us this time, either. The floors look great, stick firmly to the underlying level, and their team cleaned up the apartment after the work. They also finished their work on schedule. Daniel and his team are a great professional flooring team with high work ethics. I highly recommend them and would hire them again.

IT went very well with floors coming our very nicely. The color was just want I wanted after I selected from a few samples that Daniel put on the floor for me to select from, before completing the entire floor.

Daniel and his crew are FANTASTIC. They are punctual, agreeable and very easy to work with. We have a particularly difficult management company on top of a ridiculously difficult tenant. He was able to work with both and was still pleasant and professional! His prices were the best but the quality and professionalism of his work far surpass his prices. This is the ONE time where you do not get what you pay for. You get SO MUCH MORE!

It was a very big, disruptive job, but I think I had the best and least disruptive experience possible. Everyone connected with the company was a pleasure to deal with and the job took a day less than the two weeks predicted. The workmanship was first-rate; That was a real achievement because my old house doesn't have a single, straight, plumb or even surface, let alone any corners that are 90-degree angles. They were also very patient with me; I had to postpone the job for almost a year because of a serious injury, and they took the delay in stride. I would certainly hire them again.

Working with this company was a pleasure.  Daniel was very professional and knowledgeable.  He pointed out things and made suggestions that other companies I received quotes from never mentioned, like the wood upstairs was a different species wouldn't stain the same - which was appreciated insight.  His crew finished a day ahead of schedule which is not usually the norm in my experience.  Also, when there was an small issue that needed to be touched up, he had his crew come immediately the day he saw it and was taken care of same day.  Great service, great quality, great overall experience.

It would be great if all contractors met the standard set by Daniel and his crew.
He reponded to our initial call promptly, came out to assess the job, and provided a reasonable estimate.
When we had questions, we would E-mail him and he always responded the same day.
When it came time to do the work, Daniel and his crew showed up right on time.  While we had cleared the areas to be refinished, there were three large furniture pieces that I couldn't handle myself and Daniel's crew graciously carried them downstairs.
Everything was properly taped off and there was hardly any dust raised in the rest of the house from the sanding. The areas needing replacement were carefully removed and replaced with wood that closely matched the original grain.  Several areas with old water damage were sanded to clarity.
The red oak stain went down smoothly and resulted in a rich uniform color.  The work was done so carefully that we had hardly any touch up to do on the baseboards.
Three coats of water-based poly later, we had great looking floors.
As part of the job, we asked Daniel to stain and poly new banisters that we had installed at the same time.  Again, the work was done well.  Because the bainisters were not dry in time to get a poly coat, the crew came back a few days later to finish up -- and take the heavy furniture pieces back upstairs.
All in all, an excellent experience and I would be happy to recommend Daniel and his crew for any floor refinishing job.

We had a great experience from start to finish with Shalom -- both with the owner Daniel and with the crew who did the work. It was a relatively small project, but Daniel was very responsive and worked with us to do the project during a specific time window. They did a phenomenal job. It looks brand new! Very professional, they were amazing and very good service. I highly recommend them and all our neighbors are asking for their numbers.

This project would be too small (a 2X2 ft area where my pet drinks water) to justify the cost of hiring any professional company to visit and sand/replace the floorboard.  Instead, Shalom Flooring spent 30 minutes on the phone with me to understand the issue and explained very patiently how I could take care of it myself.  I was able to fix it by myself this past weekend and saved a lot of money and time in the process.  Thank you!!

I found Daniel through Angie's List, noticing that he had impeccable reviews.  I contacted him for an estimate, and soon found that his price was by far the best compared to all other contracting and flooring companies.  All of my communication with Daniel was via email, text and phone, as I was moving from North Carolina to New York and could not meet face to face.  He always was easy to get a hold of and easy to talk to, and willing to jump through some hoops to help me get the job done (like meeting with friends in order to get keys).  He even recommended a great painter that I used.
When performing the work, after the old hardwood floor was pulled up, he noticed that the substrate needed more work than he originally expected, which delayed completion of the work by two days.  He did not come back for more money as one might expect, but stuck with the amount that was already included in the bid.  This proved to me that he was a honorable guy, which seems to be rare in this big city.  
I am extremely please withe the finished floors, and would definitely recommend Daniel to anyone that needed flooring work.

After being strung along by other vendors, it set me immediately at ease when Daniel was incredibly fast to respond to all of our queries.  When he arrived, in person to inspect the room, I  found him to be a very warm and cordial guy who is very knowledgeable about his craft.  He immediately was able to determine what the best possible route for our installation was and made several helpful suggestions.   He quickly delivered an accurate and reasonable quote before any other vendor we had solicited, even though he was one of the later vendors we contacted.  He helped us find a suitable vendor for the floor we wanted and even secured us a discount for the purchase!  He accommodated my Wife's and mine busy schedules and arrived on-time to every appointment.  His team were, prompt, efficient, courteous and did a marvelous job of installing the floor.  All I had to do was sit back and relax knowing that the job would be done.  My Wife and I could not be happier.
We will now only use Daniel and Shalom for anything regarding our floors.
