We had a new central AC unit installed, but the AC contractor said that we would need more amps coming into the house, since the amperage draw from the AC, dryer, and electrical range would exceed the existing 100 amp service. He also said there didn't seem to be enough empty breaker slots to attach the AC wire to. So he left the AC wire unconnected until an electrician could first upgrade the service.
I called Rick for an estimate to upgrade the service. He responded to my voicemail quickly and he was able to get to the house the same day (I gave him a code to unlock the electronic door lock since no one was home). I just got a call from him saying that, when he was there, he had connected the AC wire to the breaker box, which I had never asked him to do. This worries me now since there weren't enough empty breaker slots for the AC unit. Where did he attach the wire and it is safe? I told him that we did not authorize the work and that we should not be expected to pay for it. He said he would not be sending us a bill. I'm disappointed that he did not even prepare the estimate I had asked for. He responded that we must have both misunderstood each other. He misunderstood me, but how did I misunderstand him? All I wanted was an estimate. I didn't get the estimate and I got work that I now worry might be unsafe and that the electrician I hire will have to undo.

Rick arrived at the appointed time. Diagnosed the problem with an electrical outlet that was not working. Fixed the problem quickly and replaced everything as it had been before.
I highly recommend him and compliment him on his promptness and professionalism. I will call him when ever I have other electrical problems.

Very good responsive service, which seems to be a bit hard to find in this part of the country. Gentleman kept to the schedule and performed as he said he would. Good work.
