From the first day it was a disaster. In the contract it stated my home would be protected from debris dust with zipper plaster. My living room and kitchen was covered in debris dust. My house was built in 1920 and had plaster walls. Mr. Christie did not give me opportunity to check the material for asbestos. He demolished the bathroom without a air filtration machine and I had to stop project until he could have proper equipment on site. Then it took three days for a cleaning crew to come. After proper plastic protection was done the project resumed because he had a hefty deposit of mine. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and hoped it would move forward smoothly. After 7 weeks the bathroom was still not completed because of his poor managing of his workers. Several things had to be done over. Wrong measuring for medicine cabinet and shower niche. Positioning of medicine cabinet with mirror had to be done over. I had to get my own electrician because what he proposed to do was not up to code. He did not supervise the unpacking of materials like the shower door, which was installed wrong. Some parts of the medicine cabinet were lost or misplaced, leaving me without any shelves in medicine cabinet. The grab bars in the shower were installed with the screws showing. The bathroom radiator could not fit in the original space because he raised the floor and moved one wall because he said they were not level. He did not take the time to figure out how it would be reinstalled. I fired him and got a licensed plumber to do the job. The whole project was unprofessional and I would not recommend Exquisite Construction.

Albert is great to work with! He listens, gives suggestions, has physical samples for you to choose from and pictures of past projects to give you an idea of how the finished product will look. He is professional but personable. His workers showed up at the designated time and did the work that was agreed upon in a timely manner

We never received the plans. It took 2 weeks after purchase (May 18th) to get followup on setting an appointment, which I had to initiate. It wasn't really a consultation - he took measurements and asked a couple questions - what a contractor would do to provide an spec estimate on a job which you don't pay for. Didn't show any examples of work or real design suggestions, and I had to remind him to take pictures. Was mostly focused on when I wanted to start - which I said I was not sure. They said 2 weeks for a plan, a month later I contacted them and was promised one the following Monday. Never appeared - checked in a couple of times and never heard anything - I am sure they realize I won't hire them now after this type of follow through so are not following up on what was promised. Felt like a way for getting a fee for what is usually an estimate on spec.

Albert was punctual and walked me through the different options available to me. The quoted price was the same as the actual price. When we ran into small difficulties, like an uneven wall and floor, he solved the problem. My bathroom looks modern and beautiful thanks to Albert! I will absolutely use him again!

After the site visit, I had to keep asking over a 3 week period for the drawings. When I got them, I was disappointed because the drawings look amateurish and did not include what I asked for in the reno in terms of color schemes and appliances. I could have sketched this out myself.

I'll start with the bottom line; I have a beautiful new kitchen and two beautiful new bathrooms. Exquisite Construction was able to create them with the floor/wall tiles, cabinets, and elements I chose for each room. As a first-time renovator, Albert's suggested stores for me to choose product was very helpful. He was able to get a contractor discount on my cabinets, he threw in free cabinet handles, and he listened to my design desires that included my pull out drawer for pots, spice rack, and garbage cabinet. I was blessed to be home to watch the transformation take place and give input and make changes where desired and needed. That was important. I believe that collaboration was necessary to the process. He was patient; I changed my mind many times when what I saw in my head was not coming to fruition in reality. His team was punctual, and trustworthy, took steps to maintain my property, and for the most part, cleaned up well after themselves. One con: My main floor bathroom is beautiful, but unfortunately, not as functional as it could be nor as it was pre-renovation. Due to lack of communication, I was asked to purchase shower/bath fixtures only hours before it was to be installed (since fixtures are behind the wall and permanent and they did not want to delay the work. Since I was told it was permanent, I should not have caved in to a rush decision; my bad). What I chose was less than favorable in style and in function. Although Albert made some adjustments afterwards, nothing could be done outside of breaking the walls. Disappointed in style and very disappointed in function of the shower. Communication and mutual understanding early on (I did send an email declaring my understanding of my responsibilities and questioning what was required of me prior to commencement of work) would have helped me be better prepared (again, 1st time renovator). Today, I am really displeased with my shower. Lesson learned. Communication, clarity and agreement early on is crucial to understanding, and for the design, timeline, financial impact and final outcome of your project. I am meticulous, and a perfectionist, with high-end taste. My home is important to me and truly is my castle. Ultimately, you would be pleased to put your home in the hands of Exquisite Construction.

Albert and the rest of the staff at Exquisite Construction is an incredible contractor with really great ideas. We can't recommend them highly enough, unbelievably professional. They did a complete exterior renovation on our home (which presented more than a few challenges) and we couldn't be happier. The crew was exceptionally pleasant, communicated any and all issues that arose. They inspected their work and fixed anything they did not think was quality before we even had a chance to look. They came on time and completed the project on time. They were neat, courteous, and cleaned up at the end of each day. We found them to be very honest and their prices reasonable(cheap work ain't good/good work is not cheap). We have recommended them to all of our friends and neighbors. Overall Exquisite was fair reasonable and honest. We will not even consider another contractor when the time comes to renovate the driveway and the bathrooms in our home.

Albert from Exquisite Constructionis a true gem in a sometimes frightening and confusing sea of potential contractors. He helped and guided me every step of the way through several home projects, the largest of which was the remodel of my master bathroom. Left to my own devices, without his guidance, I would have made several costly mistakes. I have never done any kind of remodeling project before, I had no idea where to start or what I was doing, but Albert made me feel confident in my choices and took the extra time with me that I required in guiding me through the process. The quality of his work is outstanding, he has very high standards for the people who work for him and he monitored my bathroom remodel closely. The job went well. This is the second major project with this company. At first we thought it was pricy but we learned that you get what yo pay for. We did another project prior to using Al and it was  major mistake. Al had to fix the first project. The previous owner had cut structure beams to make the bathroom, Al fixed it at no additional cost. He did a lot of extras at no additional cost. The BR is simply gorgeous. The attention to detail is what you are paying for and sad to say many of these companies just do not have it.
