Contracted Craig Fishelberg to do a complete renovation for an alcove studio apartment in New York City back in March 2013. There were so many delays due to Craig not getting his workman in the unit to do the work. Although there were several emails, phone calls and trying to schedule meetings nothing really started to move along until I involved my attorney. As soon as I did that Craig finally sent his workman to get the job done. It appears that Barry Fishelberg had an excellent reputation but now his son has taken over the business. It is a shame that Craig has ruined this companies valued name. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you want to have a studio apartment worked on for at least 6 months and you have to get your attorney involved.

I wanted a complete cosmetic makeover of my kitchen and hired BFCI on the basis of recommendations and work done by them in other apartments in my building. Craig came to take a look and prepared a detailed scope of work. I bought most of my appliances and other elements (flooring, tile) on my own and BFCI contracted all the plumbing, electrical and countertops and did all of the installations. Their original estimate was right in line with the final price. The workmen were extremely punctual, professional and polite. Having Haydee in the office available to take any questions was a major plus. They cleaned up after themselves every day and did a great job of protecting the rest of the house from dust. The work itself was very good and I am thrilled with the results. Usually Barry or Craig was on the job to make sure everything was going smoothly. If they weren't here themselves, they were easy to contact with any questions. Since I had a separate arrangement for cabinets, I can't speak to that, but the cabinetry they did that I saw when I was checking references was very good looking. They are very good at problem-solving and their work is guaranteed for a full year after the job is finished. I can't speak highly enough of them and I love my new kitchen. They were also very good about working with the people I hired separately (cabinet-maker and flooring specialist). The whole thing took two months from the time they arrived until the last detail was finished.
Description of Work: A complete cosmetic makeover of an apartment galley kitchen. The above cost is their price only and exclusive of flooring, cabinets and appliances. The work done by BFCI was demolition, painting, installation of sink, faucet, all appliances and electrical (new fixtures and undercabinet lighting). They did all the plumbing required and also installed new electrical outlets. They also did the backsplash tiling and had the countertop fabricated.
