it happens I just had a simple oil change before a trip, but I have taken my cars for over thirty years to Tallmadge for both routine maintenance and more serious service. the mechanics and service there have always been honest and first rate. their prices are very reasonable and they are prompt and efficient. they never try to offer unnecessary services or pad the work they've done. Just good, honest service consistently for a very long time.

I started going here because my daughter said they were excellent, respectful, and fair. If they deal that well with a beautiful young woman, I'll happily trust my car to them. This a long-established operation. The proprietor is a veteran at it, and his son is pretty much an equal partner. They and their staff are really good, and they seem to enjoy what they're doing. They take your car in, have a look, and come out and report. If possible, they offer options and explain each one so you don't feel pushed at all. And they stand behind their work. If you have to stay and wait, the waiting area has old but comfy furniture to relax in and read. No TV yammering away and making you wish it were on a different channel. The atmosphere is peaceful and pleasant. If you forgot a book, they offer their own library. Their analysis and advice are worth charging admission for. These are some bright guys.

I purchased tires in September of 2009. When I went in for an oil change and tire rotation in April 2011, they told me that my tires were worn and I needed new ones. Jim indicated that he knew I'd bought the tires from him and that they were probably under warranty. He called the tire company (Cooper Tire), and they were able to pro-rate the cost of a new set. In no time, I had my new tires. Jim made a real effort to look out for my interest. He wanted me to be safe so he made sure I got new tires, and he was able to save me money by not having to pay full price for the new tires.

I've been taking my vehicle to Tallmadge for a few years and have recommended others to take their vehicles there too. They are timely, honest, competent and friendly. I've never felt that they talk down to me because I'm a female, like other repair shops have.
