Gia's Elite Style

We loved it! Both her AND her service! We just moved to the area in June. I am very picky about hair sylists because I have had my hair butchered in the past. My daughter gets stylish, sometimes punky, very cool haircuts and we have a hard time finding people who can even approximate what she wants. I went in with a picture of the desired cut and Nalyn knew exactly how to do it. She was meticulous and didn't finish until she was completely satisfied. My daugher's cut was $45 but mine will be slightly more expensive (like $10 more, nothing extravagant.) She is definitely a perfectionist, which I love!! My daughter is very happy with her! We won't be going to anyone else.
She also dyed my eyelashes, which cost $24 and lasted for a little over a month. They looked excellent! I will be going back to get my own hair done and my eyelashes dyed again this week.
She is also very personable, friendly and loves chatting if you want to ;)
Her shop is located in a tacky looking strip mall kind of location, but once you are familiar with the area, you realize that the exterior is not representative of the shops inside. Gia's Salon is also a boutique with high-end used clothing. Ithaca Bakery is katty-corner to her shop--awesome if you have anyone waiting with you! There are all kinds of places to meander around when you are done to. One stop shop kinda place.
I can't say enough positive things about our experience. Hair cuts can be either fantastic or traumatizing. When getting shorter cuts you are taking a big risk when you try new people. My daugher's haircuts usually range in length from 1-3 inches around her head. Mistakes are easily noticed. Both times not a hair was out of place and because of how it was cut, it was easily maintained and styled. Highly recommend

We just recently discovered Gia's Elite Style. Since one year (we are new to Ithaca) of trying all kinds of different hair salons we are finally in good hands. My whole family sees Nalyn for haircuts. Nalyn is a great hair stylist who takes her time, she will consult with you making sure you will get what you want. Her precision cuts are just awesome and because she cuts so well they last longer. She spends at least 20 to 30 minutes cutting my sons hair, she just wont stop till it's perfect. I am seeing her for highlights and she does that very well, too. I visited family in Europe recently and they all complimented me on my hair cut and color. I can only recommend Nalyn, here you get what you pay for and that's hard to find in Ithaca.
