It went quite well because the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine is a "teaching" hospital and one of the top ranked school in the United States. If you need specialized care for a companion animal (typical or exotic) or a large animal it's the place to go if you live in upstate New York.

Lied about the prognosis. Used the dog as a teaching tool. Greedy, self serving, underhanded, caused months of unnecessary pain and suffering for the dog and whole family.

I travel quite a distance to get to the clinic so it's important to me that I get in when my appointment is scheduled. This visit I got in ten minutes early. As usual he is seen by a few different students. First a third year resident vet sees him and did a lot of the preliminary tests explaining to me what he was doing and why. Then he left to consult with the resident ophthalmologist. They both return and the resident ophthalmologist did some more testing showing and explaining to the third year resident and me what he is doing and why. They both leave when they are finished and go back to discuss their findings with the Ophthalmology professor. They all return and the resident ophthalmologist gave me their findings. Then when we finished the third year student writes up the report, goes over it with me and answers any other questions I have and then escorted me to the check out window. When I was done I felt like my dog had gotten the best care he could ever get.
I've been taking my dog there for about five years now to see the Ophthalmology Department. I would highly recommend taking your pet to this hospital. The care you receive is second to none and it's worth the visit just to listen to everybody's stories about their pets and the care they are receiving while you're waiting in the lobby. The are a not for profit hospital so many of the services you get there are cheaper then going to a local Veterinarian clinic.

They saved her life when she was hurt. If one is looking for an emergency service that regular vets cannot handle, then this is the place. They were the only ones who could take care of her needs and the after-care because she is so tiny. They fixed her up well. They were expensive. The emergency care was about $5000 but I think the visits and her medicines were pretty reasonable, it was anywhere from $50 to $75; it was nothing outrageous.
