I had a leak in my basement and it seemed to be coming from the crack in the concrete. I called Mark looking to get an estimate on approximate repairs. He was very nice and professional over the phone and very accommodative regarding my schedule. He arrived punctually at the discussed time. As over the phone, he was polite, professional, and put me under no pressure. Within ten minutes he diagnosed the problem and informed it actually had nothing to do with outside water but my AC condenser outlet. So, in the end he didn't try to sell me on any unnecessary solution, but gave me a practical fix for which there was no cost. If I could give one take away from my time with Mark it's that he's honest and clearly good at what he does. Which is what you want when you are dealing with a professional who has a distinct knowledge advantage over you.

Fantastic job. A team of 9 came in, were done in one day and cleaned up after themselves. Would absolutely recommend them..

I received about our four six estimates to install a French drain in our basement. I am always surprised how much the estimates can vary and the estimates to do my basement were anywhere from $5500.00 to $8000.00.



My basement is finished with molded vertical wood paneling, so I was concerned that this not be disturb when the job was done. The high estimate contractor said it would have to be ripped out, so he was eliminated as a possible contractor to do the job. Also, I have a small semi-unfinished section of my basement that contains an ejector pump (for the downstairs bathroom) and the boiler; both of these pieces of equipment are near the exterior wall of the basement and therefore in the path of where the French drain would be installed. Finally I have two closets that the French drain would have to be installed through.



Despite the aforementioned obstacles to installing a drain on my job, ACM (Mark and his crew) did a very good job of working through them and around them. Hi crew (about five guys) overall was very professional and did the job in one day. It’s been almost two years since he did the work and my basement is dry as a bone. I am really happy that I bit the bullet and had the work done. The intensity rain storms that we have been having the past couple of years would have definitely caused water problems in my basement.

The crew was very professional, prompt and very efficient. They had to jack hammer the cement floor, remove the cement, dig and remove the dirt, install the weeping pipe, bring in gravel and replace the cement. all by hand with large buckets. they were fast and super clean.

Excellent to work with. The team of workers were punctual, friendly, and professional. The owner educated me on the process of the work.

We called ACM based on the straight-A reviews, and we were not disappointed. Mark McAlpin's explanation of the cause of and solution to water in our basement made the most sense among the other companies we called for evaluations and estimates. It's been bone dry there since his crew's installation of a French drain and pump. This was one of those rare instances of everything going right with a home improvement job, from Mark's first return call through the completion of the job. His foreman and crew showed up as scheduled, were polite and professional, and even finished up early. Their work and cleanup were meticulous. I expected a horrible day of jackhammering and dust, but it was painless, and somehow they managed to keep dust from entering the other rooms. Thinking back, this was probably the happiest I've been with any job done on the house. It was a great day. These people are experts, and know how to run a business. Went very well. ACM Basement Waterproofing was clean and neat. He didn't water proof, but did perform a solution to the problem. He was in the neighborhood when we called and was there within an hour to give an estimate. Work was done within two days.

It was a great experience. They showed up on the scheduled 2 days for the job. The quality of the work was first rate and they cleaned up when they left. I would highly recommend this contractor.

The job went extremely well. The owner is very professional and personable individual. His crew were all very nice, friendly, polite and considerate people.
The owner came to my house for the estimate. He was also there the day of the job to set up the crew, then he left. One of the crew was left in charge. This was fine, since the crew were very competent.

He was very nice. He really explained what was causing the dampness and explained that we didn't need any work done. He was very honest and I appreciated the service.

Mark came within a couple of days for an estimate. We agreed when the work would be done. The workers showed up on time, did exactly what I was told would happen, cleaned up and left. Now I am completely at ease when it rains knowing my basement will stay dry. It can rain all it wants.

Mark McAlpin did an excellent job eliminating a water problem that was there for years. Installed a new sump and pump. Prices very reasonable and the work was done neatly. Would reccommdend ACM to anyone having a leaking basement problem.

We got different estimates from other companies but we went with them. Everything went very well. The one thing was that they were that good with the scheduling because sort of last minute they told that they were coming the night before and we didn't really have time to prepare. They called us the night before around 9 or 10 that because the project would take a little longer than it was earlier anticipated that they would have to come a few days earlier than they had planned to get it done. They did a nice job, were clean and professional. They had warranty on it for 20years and overall they were a good company. They broke an old wooden shelf which was already in poor shape in my basement and we didn't mind that they broke it but they just didn't tell us and that was one thing we didn't like.

The were extremely neat and professional. The job was completed quickly. There was a minimum of dust in my house and they cleaned up after themselves quite thoroughly.

I spent about $500 on that work. I had gotten another quote from someone else that was $1500. They were very good.

He suggested I dig a hole and save myself a lot of money. He was overloaded with work, so he got in and out of here within five minutes. However, he did save me money, so it was good.

Our experience with ACM was excellent from start to finish. We interviewed 4 basement waterproofing firms - ACM was the most knowledgeable and made no effort to "oversell" us on products and projects we did not need. Professional, timely, clean and price in line with others.

He did excellent work. The people he had were excellent as well. He was great in follow up and his service was outstanding. He was on time, reliable and was a pleasure to work with. I would give him my highest recommendation.
