From start to finish, Lou, the owner of Great River Construction, met with us on site to discuss the renovation. He was always accessible by phone to answer our questions. When there were decisions to be made he outlined our options and informed us of pros and cons of our decisions. He met with our architect to go over and adjust modifications to our plans. He dealt with the local building departments to insure everything was done according to code and to acquire permits and approvals. He arranged for the various contractors to submit estimates to us for the different phases of work and he over saw their jobs and insured that they proceeded in a timely manner and that everything was done correctly while also maintaining a clean and safe work site. He is insured and licensed. He was always concerned with doing things the right way and not taking any short cuts. He always treated us with respect and courtesy, and I always felt confident that he was going to do everything that needed to be done, and then some, to insure that the job was completed properly. The confidence he instilled in us was invaluable, especially when undertaking a job of this size, because we were not able to be available 24/7 since this was at another location than our current home. He addressed any concerns we might have and never made us feel like we were troubling him by our inquiries.
