MID ISLAND CESSPOOL

The 2 guys showed up promptly,early AM.  We discussed where i believed my cesspool was.After a brief discussion as to their belief that it was in FRONT,not the BACK,they checked the location.  They hooked up my garden hose to a t shaped pipe and proceeded to poke the ground til they found my cespool lid (right where I said it probably was)   The y mentioned that sometimes the tanks may s*** when the lid was opened and to stand back while they pried up the lid.No problems here,and the lid opened quickly.My cesspool looked like a fudge cake,filled to the top and caked up beyond belief.The brought a large hose into the yard from their truck and pumped out all the sewage.They then rinsed it out and put in "acid" to help promote better aeration to the tank into the ground.I was told to try not to use the tank for 6 hours while the acid did its work and was told to call in 2 or 3 years for another pumping.I was living here for 19 years and never had this tank pumped.I do not know how long before i moved in that the tank had been pumped,or at all,so 19 years is pretty good i think.
So basically it took about two or three hours tops,and the guys were very courteous and helpful with my questions.My only negative about it it that the price was a bit high,i thought. $750 bucks is a lot to pay for just a pumping out,but they knew what they were doing and were done fast. I would  reccommend their service,however..
