TV Service - Cable, Internet Service
The service provider refused to replace the router. They blamed one of the devices although the same condition existed on other devices.

Internet Service
First, the internet service. As far as I am concerned, this is the only worthwhile part of the company. The service is consistently fast and very reliable. Then there's the phone service, which is acceptable. The big feature is the way the caller's number displays on the TV screen, which is handy, but hardly essential in the day of phones which display and announce the caller as well. So the phone service would qualify as OK - as long as you never make any international calls to non-Hispanic locations. To do this you need the "International calling plan", which means you pay a whopping $20 a month extra for the privilege of paying Cablevision's inflated per-minute charges. Rather than submit to this theft I bought a Magic Jack - $30 a year and the per-minute charges are half of what Cablevision gets. Which brings us to the TV service. Infuriatingly, relentlessly, second class all the way. The only reason I keep them is that the trees in the path a dish needs to point have grown to the point where reception is weak, and Verizon hasn't built out the system to my neighborhood yet. The equipment is garbage. My boxes were "upgraded" from the Scientific Atlanta trash to the "better" Samsung equipment. This has to be the worst product ever to wear the Samsung brand. Even after having the boxes replaced, response time is pitifully slow. Channel surfing is virtually impossible; advancing more than 2 channels quickly brings the system to its knees and hangs everything up. The sound drops out for a couple seconds every few minutes. And although there are channels running up to 1000, there is no way to program in a personal profile of just the channels you're interested in. You can create a list of favorites which can be scrolled through with the little FAV button on the remote (which hasn't had a major redesign in a decade). Unfortunately, this means you can only surf in one direction. I've seen cable TV from Time-Warner in NYC and Road Runner in NJ and both are significantly better than Cablevision. They're proud of their web application, which is a nice idea, but it loads so balky it should be renamed "The Buffering Show". And the new driveless multi-room DVR system responds poorly to commands from the remote; the lag time is so bad that skipping over commercials cleanly is impossible. I'm a captive customer for the time being. When Fios is ready to go, I'll be gone like a shot.

TV Service - Cable
It didn't cost us anything because we have them to do all of our cable services. I can't say anything bad about them. Their service, they are always here when they say they will. They are, for me, reliable. The last time they were here, we had a problem with the tv not showing well and he did everything he can do to make us happy.

TV Service - Cable, Internet Service + 1 more
The service is spotty sometimes and dealing with them is usually a pain because they are a large corporation. The internet is slow at times and the cable stops at different times and it can get frustrating.

TV Service - Cable, Internet Service
There is nobody else providing this service in my area. If there is I might change them.

I enjoy it all. No matter what hour I turn the TV on, there is something there I can watch. If I have a problem, I call and they are here within an hour.
