"Customer had over $30,000 of AV work performed by another contractor that she could no longer reach. That contractor stopped returning her calls. Some things were not right and needed repair and/or replacement. We made several recommendations to rectify the problems that were present. Customer kept saying that she spent too much already and that the prior contractor should pay. Told her that was between her and the prior contractor- the one who no longer longer returned her call. She finally did agree to replace a stereo receiver and reprogram a universal remote control That was the $1100 fee. When she called, she still wanted things fixed that were not done right by the previous contractor, but is not want to pay us to do it. We are in business for over 27 years. Same name, same hands on owners. We stand behind EVERYTHING we do. We can not warranty someone else's work. And if a customer does not take our advise, we can not be responsible for the outcome. What this customer fails to mention is, during the initial walk through, we spent over an hour troubleshooting AND repairing many of the problems she had from the previous contractor. At that time, there were about 3-4 TVs that were not working properly. We adjusted and repaired 3 of them, at NO cost. A walk through is usually just that, but since she already had a bad taste of AV contractors, we wanted to show good faith and that we knew what we were doing and that she was in good hands. We repaired some of the problems, AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. If you bring your car into an auto mechanic, or call in most trades into your home, they charge for diagnosis. We did not. The other items that needed repair, we made our recommendations. We would have gladly returned to correct the remaining problems, but it was clear that this customer was not willing to pay for anymore repairs/changes to systems that were NOT installed, sold, serviced, nor designed by Live Wire Security. After investing over 6 man hours, a new surround receiver (including installation and setup) reprogramming her remote, We went above and beyond for the amount we charged."
"CAME BACK TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE CABLE. (MANUFACTURER DEFECT) OTHER 2 TIMES WERE CUSTOMER ERROR. NO CHARGE FOR ANY OF THE 3 VISITS."
