Frank came recommended since other residents in co-op have used him for their bathrooms (this is a 50+year old complex). He has experience dealing with co-op application and regulations and has liability insurance. He came in to do the estimate. I liked his to the point style, if he thought a design idea was not going to look good in the end, given his experience, he would say so. On the other hand, contrary to other estimates we received, he did not try to 'lecture' or patronize. Once we settled on a date, he arrived every day that week on time. His time estimate was right on except for an extra 1-2 days due to the shower plumbing being corroded and needed to be changed (something he had warned us about and expected). He was accommodating while also setting realistic expectations about price, timeline, design (eg. complicated mosaic right behind the sink eventually gets water in it and starts coming off the wall, or the fact that the sink should have tile behind it for sanitary reasons). The work itself is of high quality with good finishes. We're very pleased.
