"What set this client apart from others was his desire to act as the Designer and GC for his project. This client requested an opt-out for our services, so he received weekly updates and he paid weekly. This was so he could keep track of his expenditures and not fall behind in payments; and to track his progress to determine project scheduling. All work agreed upon was completed within time constraints laid out by the client; plans were provided and agreed upon as all necessary permits with included plans and drawings were approved by local governing bodies. Installation of all new electrical system, new potable water system, and hydronic in floor heat and radiator systems were on time and came in under budget. We did not install any sheetrock for this client. The client notified us he no longer wanted our services after structural repairs, foundation repairs, mechanical systems (heat, water, waste, electrical), insulation, and other various repairs were completed. Electrical system was inspected and certified by local authorities and no electrical issues ever existed. The client brought in other contractors to complete the finish work. This particular client ran out of money before he ran out of house to repair and attempted to bring suit against our company to recoup funds. During the interviewing process with lawyers the client was embarrassed when showed the bids he received were significantly higher than the amounts he was charged. During these interviews it was also brought to light that other contractors had been hired to do work after we had pulled off the jobsite and it was these contractors that damaged the home. Contractors removed insulation for access and drove sheetrock screws through heat pipes and thermostat wire. A contractor installed a subfloor on joists 4" out of level in 8', this required a plumber to move some pipe locations. After the client's lawyer saw the documentation and photo evidence we provided the lawyer recommended the client drop his legal pursuits. Since the client has posted this complaint he has contacted us on multiple occasions to do work on his home. We are a family owned and operated business that pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and longevity of our work. We perform all stages of construction and renovation of homes allowing full control of each step in the process. What we cannot control is the experience for each of our clients, we strive to complete our client’s projects within their budget, but our quality does not suffer for expediency or cost. Home remodeling can be a stressful undertaking when dealing with a building that’s been standing for over 120 years, we endeavor to make it as easy a process for the Homeowner as possible and we learn from every client."
