While we typically don't give estimates on small jobs such as hanging fans the need for a man lift due to height of one of the fixtures we did come take a look and give a price. Anytime we have our man lift on site we do need to have two men on the job for safety reasons, also maneuvering the equipment into and within a home safely takes time. Laid a gravel base; afterward I noticed that most people have concrete bases, which is what Generac recommends, so they used a short-cut. Hopefully it will remain stable
Repeatedly delayed the installation date

We know your time is valuable so spending some of it leaving feedback is much appreciated. Generators become commodities during storms and it's not possible to keep them in stock as they are large ticket investments for your home. This can equate to longer than desired lead times on units especially during large storms. We appreciate your patience and are happy that the installed unit is what you had expected, thought the investment in your home may have taken longer than we wanted. We strive to do the highest quality work at all times and would never take a short cut in anything we do, while keeping our customers budget in mind. For an Air cooled generator, weighing less than 500 lbs, a concrete base is not require nor recommended by Generac. If you refer to Generac's website you'll see that the air cooled units there are mounted directly on the ground in most cases as they come standard with a composite mounting pad. We, always striving for better installations, typically install units on crushed stone outlined in pressure treated 4x4's. Also we take measures to avoid weeds from growing through the base and keep the unit level for many years of protection. If you reference the owners manual, which we've attached a link to below, in the "easy installation" bullet it clearly states that concrete pads are not required unless by your local building department. As with any engine make sure you're changing the oil regularly and checking filters and other components."

They were right up front about the minimum of 2 hours charged. The young man sent was very good and completed the job in about 3 hours. He recommended couple of changes to the wiring inside the house that were exactly what I needed. He was finished in about 3 hours.
I found that night that there was a problem with only the new light coming on after detecting movement. I called the next day and the tech was there the same day to make a small wiring change.
Very professional and the finished product looked it.
