As usual, upon arrival the staff was very responsive, efficient and friendly.  One of the kennel staff promptly greeted us and prepared our dog for boarding.  The kennels are large and long enough for our dog's comfort and they are walked numerous times a day and given time for exercise.  We brought our own food because our dog is very fussy and won't eat all types of dogfood.  They are able to accommodate this.  Upon pick up the next day, Robin, one of their kennel staff, shared her advice with us and explained that by dampening the dry food this further enhances the odor of the food.  With dogs the smell of the food is very important. The kennel staff are very friendly and caring and are a pleasure to deal with.

Dr. Coren, our vet, did a very thorough exam on our dog and gave his recommendations regarding  our dog's weight and current diet. Our dog is now around 7 so we wanted to be sure that the food we are giving him is appropriate and Dr. Coren assured us that it was.  There were no particular health concerns to address yet he took the time to do a complete exam and we were very satisfied. The staff are wonderful and you can tell they are very dedicated to their jobs and your pet. We were very impressed that they were able to give us the heartworm test results before we left so that we could start our dog on the heartworm medication immediately.  Ive been using this veterinary hospital for over 20 years and remain impressed with their services.

I have been going to this vet for years.  I have 2 dogs and 1 cat.  One of my dogs is a Yorkie with a liver problem.  I am extremely pleased with this vet, but let me stress, you have to find the right vet for you.  I've had one or two that I wasn't happy with but the good news is that there are many to choose from and now I know who I like so I stick with them.  One of the greatest things about this vet is that it's 24 hours, and I don't mean just emergency care.  You could literally walk in at 10 pm just to get vaccinations for your pet and you don't get charged emergency hours.  I've never had a problem getting an emergency appointment if I need one fast.  They are extremely professional and the place is very clean.  The staff is always courteous, from reception all the way up.  We also board our pets here and I've always been happy with their service. The only negative is the price.  I'm pretty sure they are more expensive than some other places, but even so, they provide me with good care, not to mention peace of mind so I plan to stay with them.  I definitely recommend them if you need a vet.

Everyone at West Hills is fabulous- from the Receptionists when we walk in, to the Techs who know my dogs and lavish them with love when they bring us into the exam room, to the Doctors who give them such wonderful, loving care! We have seen all the doctors there at some point but our usual and favorite is Dr. Nicole Bruno; she knows us the best. She is a great doctor, who takes care of my dogs as if they were her own. She cares about every animal she takes care of.

I was kept every step of the way. Unfortunately, my pet passed away but the expertise, caring and kindness to my puppy and myself even after his passing was outstanding. I thank them.

My general impression of them is good. They can always be cheaper.

I am not only a dog-owner, but also involved in animal rescue and bring many of my fosters and rescues to West Hills, where the  compassionate staff always gives a rescue discount. They do their best to give us the highest quality of care without outrageous bills. Every single member of the staff is genuinely warm and caring and is extremely competent at what they do. although, without a rescue discount, the cost of services is expensive, the quality of those services are second to none.

Our vet Dr. Coren gave our dog a very thorough annual exam and. there was a lot of discussion about our pets behavior, appetite and any problems that we we aware of. Fortunately, our dog is doing very well. The staff is wonderful and are friendly from the time you enter to the time you leave their facility. This business is very organized. We can also purchase preventive heartworm and tick meds. They also have an online pharmacy and their prices are very competitive. We. are immediately notified regarding rebates that are available. I have been. a client for around 25 years and we consider this as our pets second home.

These vets and techs are gentle and compassionate professionals.  They treat my beloved pet and me with the utmost respect and sensitivity.  They are more than qualified to handle any medical issue I have or have had.

Having just moved to the area I didn't have a vet lined up, but had a definite need to get one of my dogs in to determine why he wasn't putting weight on one of his legs. Called a few other local hospitals but no one could get me in later that day, got on the phone with West Hills and immediately liked the receptionist on the other end, and was sitting in the waiting area 2 hours later.
The entire staff was GREAT, every one of the staff members that walked through the front came over to say hi to the "new patient", and the front office area was VERY clean (the clean that comes from always being on top of it, not "ohh, go mop up that one area where the dog just went, and then go back to doing something else" type of  "clean")
Once I met the vet I knew right away I would be going back there. Very nice and very helpful as far as explaining what was going on, and making sure I understood what she was talking about, and making friends with/getting to know more about my dog and his lifestyle, etc...As it turned out it was a situation where there was no option to do surgery on my dog's knee. Since they don't do that surgery there she referred a few other vets in the area that did the procedure.
After meeting with 2 other vets I had some concerns about their surgery plans, and wasn't too thrilled with one of the vets I saw at one of the offices (and since these consultations cost $$, I couldnt really go to more and still be able to pay for the surgery).  After speaking with her, she took the time to speak with one of the offices, and arrange a second consultation, free of charge, with a different vet there so that I technically got a third opinion on which surgery would be best. 
 During the whole process I spoke with her over the phone numerous times, she wasn't getting paid, yet she took the time to make sure I got the answers I was looking for..she always got back to me and even provided input from other vets at West Hills so that when I finally decided which vet to go to for the surgery I felt like I had ALL the info I needed and was making the right decision.   I've never had a vet go so over and above the help me, especially when the actual surgery wasn't even going to be done through their offices.  Then I even got a phone call from their front desk inquiring about how my dog was doing after the procedure.
This practice will be the ONLY one I bring any of my other dogs too for any future needs, and have recommended them to a number of other people.
As far as price, I felt there was maybe a little room for improvement with some of the expenses, but overall it wasn't enough to deter me since the service, overall friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the offices, and such was so great and personalized.

I called and received an appointment right away. Dr. McGowan examined my dog and immediately came up with a plan to help clear up the abcess. She took a culture in order to prescribe the correct antibotics for the infection. If you leave a message for her she calls you back within a few hours, if not sooner. Everyone I came in contact with at West Hills was warm and very caring toward my dog.

As usual, our pet received a friendly welcome and prompt vaccinations by the staff. We have been using their services for over 20 years and are very pleased.

I was flabergasted and most favorably impressed by the willingness of the veterinarian to go the extra mile in order to ensure
quality and compassionate care to my pet.  I have brought our pets to West Hills Animal Hospital for many years, and have been
extremely satisfied by the concern shown by all of their staff for the animals.

 I brought my two dogs in for check ups and booster shots, Frontline and heartworm medication.  The staff (reception, techs, and doctors) are so wonderful. The are loving toward the animals and very friendly.  You can tell that they love animals. It was a lot of money, but the attention they give the animals is worth it. Doctor called me that evening with the results of some blood work that she said would be available the next day. I've seen several different doctors and they are all wonderful, but I especially love Dr. McGowan (and so do my dogs).

Our Vet, Dr. Coren, spent a good amount of time with us.   This included a thorough exam and a lot of  discussion about our dogs overall health and eating habits.  As usual, we were very satisfied with the attention our dog received. We have been using West Hills Animal Hospital for over 20 years.   We find the staff to be very informative and caring in regards to treatments  and preventive health measures.   We have used several of their veterinarians.  They will always call you promptly to give you results, and answer any questions you may have. They are very patient and show a lot of concern for your pet's health. 

We made an appointment with our regular Vet for an exam of our newly adopted 3 year old dog. Our dog upon entering the hospital felt so comfortable that he jumped up on the reception desk and offered kisses to the staff. Our vet performed a thorough examination. He reviewed the medical record from the Shelter which included a heartworm test which was negative, and a series of vaccines, i.e. Rabies, Kennel Cough. Our vet discussed with us in detail the canine influenza and leptosporosis vaccines. We agreed to consider the additional vaccinations. The Vet informed us that since the dog was just adopted and adjusting to his new environment, that we could make another appointment in a few weeks for the vaccines and he would not charge us for his time. Since the heartworm test was negative and it was the summertime, we were able to immediately obtain Sentinel heartworm prevention medication.

If the cat needed anything extra, they would inform us that they recommended the test and what it would cost. It wasn?t like they did everything and then you got sticker shock; they told you what it was going to cost you and then they allowed you to decide whether or not to spend the money. I think they are really good and they take care of all kinds of animals. I think they are honest with you about the condition of your animal. They have a kennel affiliated with them so if your animal needs to stay, they are there. The vet techs treat the animals very well and you don?t get the feeling that your animal has been traumatized there. If you have taken your animal there before, you get preference in getting an appointment. They are a little bit pricey. They have vet techs on the premises 24 hours a day and when my sister?s cat needed to come in at 2:30 in the morning, the vet techs were there and they called a veterinarian who met us there. I was very impressed with that.
