GALLAGHER HOMBURG & GONZALEZ

My wife and I made an appointment with Gary Gallagher for an initial meeting. His company had been recommeded to us by a local contractor. When it looked like I was being delayed before we were to meet the architect at our home for a 2:00 p.m. initial interview, I had the courtesy to call him 35 minutes in advance of the appointment and tell him I would be 5 minutes late. He said no problem, he was planning on being at my home anywhere between 2- 2:15 (news to me). At 2:25, Gary still hadn't shown and I called his office and spoke to someone who sounding very much like him. The person on the other end of the line said that Gary had already left the office and that he was on his way. Finally, at 2:45 p.m.when there was still no sign of Mr. Gallagher, I called his office to say that they should call him on his cell and tell him not to arrive. I'm sure it will come as no surpise to anyone that he never called us after this to offer an apology or to explain what had happened. Needless to say, for any service to show up 30 minutes late -- or more - on a first meeting in which they are to sell their services to a customer, is unacceptable. It is a clear warning sign of more trouble to follow.
