We went to several fence places to look for a new fence, we stopped in the Freeport location of Rose Fence, the man in the store gave us a rough estimate based upon our calculations of what we needed. A salesman came to our house, measured and gave us the price, actually better than our estimate. We hired Rose that day, they gave us an installment date and we signed the contract. When the day came to start, they sent two workers for the job, the men they sent were extremely nice, very professional and did an unbelievable job from removal of the old fence to putting up the new fence. Of the places we went to Rose Fence of Freeport was very professional from the beginning and to the final day of the Job. The work done was done the right way and we are very happy with our new fence. We highly recommend this company for your fencing needs

It was good,but not perfect. They had to come back a couple times to make adjustments.

I didn't like that they killed half of my new lawn and left a big gap between the ground and fence, but when I called them, they did right by me. There were no issues with scheduling or with their customer service.

I have used them twice now. I love their product. They did really nice work for me. They cleaned up well after they were done. They did a beautiful job! After Hurricane Sandy, I looked at some houses that had fences still up. 100% of them had Rose Fence Company sign in their yard.

All went well with the initial install. We didn't notice a problem until we had a retaining wall bulge after heavy rains 2 weeks ago. Once the retaining wall moved, the fence posts were exposed. 2 out of 9 posts had minimal concrete in them. The rest had none. We lifted the posts out of the ground BY HAND!! A few of the posts were cut down and placed on top of roots and retaining wall and quot;deaden.and quot; I contacted Rose fence about this and was told that it was not their fault and, if the wall had not moved the fence would be fine. They told me they don't put concrete in all of the tubes, just a few to hold the fence in. One post was even cut to ground level. They told me that it would cost $900 to reinstall the fence and that they couldn't do it for 3 weeks. Over the phone, I reluctantly agreed because I had no other option. They told me they needed a $300 deposit over the phone to hold the date. I paid them but got no receipt. This past week, I found a local fence guy who could repair my fence for a better price and do a better job. I called Rose Fence back to cancel. I asked for my deposit back but I was told that this is a non refundable deposit after 3 days. I told them I was not made aware of this. They told me it was on the paperwork I received. I told them this was done over the phone and I was never given any paperwork. They told me they would have to talk to the book keeper to see what they can do. I've since disputed the charge with my credit card company.

From salesman to victor the crew foreman this was a real professional company.When they torn down the old fence there was tree and brush removal which they did with no charge.They did not tell me the town of Hempstead would send a building inspector how told me I had to apply for a fence mantainance permit for $200. This was inspite of pictures of eariler fences from 65 years ago

We are very satisfied with their work. The salesman was very courteous and an absolute gentlemen. The office was fabulous in following up with us and even managed to squeeze us in ahead of schedule. They left my property in a neat and clean fashion after the project was done, and I am very happy with their professionalism and craftsmanship.

I had known of Rose Fence before and so I called them to come over for an estimate. They stopped by within a few days and provided a written estimate. It was competitive and actually a bit lower than the other estimate I had. so with that I decided on Rose to do the job. After calling them, we scheduled the appointment. The crew showed up on time. We reviewed the job and they went to work. The did a very good job replacing the sections and cleaned up and removed the old fence. My only issue was the after the job was completed, I asked the installer for a receipt showing paid in full and he did not have a formal receipt to give me. I asked him to then just sign my copy of the contract I had and even this was difficult as I do not think he understood me. I had to call the office to ask for a receipt to be faxed.

We lost all of our fencing with Hurricane Sandy. I called 3 companies for pricing and all 3 were approximately the same amount except that I received the pricing right on the spot with Rose while I had to wait for the other 2. They set the appointment up and unfortunately had to cancel due to weather conditions, however they called at 7a.m. to inform me so I could still go to work. They were able to come the next day and the installer Fritz was such a gentleman and couldn't have been nicer. It took them a day and a half for the install and we are extremely, extremely happy with our new fence.

I was extremely satisfied until I found out 2 days after the fence went in that they damaged my sprinkler system.
When I called to ask about my options the gentleman I spoke to said and quot;I have been telling people for 9 years that this isn't our problem, read your contractand quot;. Totally unacceptable answer, especially since I was considering putting in additional fencing. They damaged my property and didn't even say that they were sorry for the mistake.
I will never use this company and I will make sure to never recommend them either.

They finished the job when they said that they were going to. They were reasonably priced.

The story is not what occurred at the time of the installation but what has occurred recently, I called Rose fence on or about the week of 3/26/2012, to get an estimate on having both my gates leading into my backyard open in the opposit direction, they stated that someone would contact me, I waited about 3 to 4 days before calling back again at which time I left my number again, finally a sales rep contacted me and scheduled an appointment for an estimate, when he came, he gave me an estimate of $200.00. A few days later I contacted Rose fence to schedule the work to be done, no one had any paperwork on the estimate, after several calls later, they stated that the sales rep still had the paperwork, so I called him and he stated that his company could not honor the estimate because it wasn't cost effective, they wouldn't send a truck out for a job for less then $600.00. To me that's totally unacceptable, I'm a previous customer that spent good money on their fence. As far as I'm concerned they're unprofessional and definitly not customer friendly. I would definitly tell others to look at other companies when shopping for a fence company.

They are very professional. They did they work as they were supposed to, and they did a great job cleaning up.

My fence looks beautiful. They cleaned up after themselves. I was very impressed by them. Their price was the cheapest. They were very punctual. I would definitely use them again in the future.

We were very satisfied with them. They were excellent. Their price was fair compared to the other fence companies. We went to three companies and Rose Fence provided the most reasonable price but it was not the best price for what they were doing. They showed up when they said they were coming, they came, did their work and left. You didn't know that they were there.

Showed up promptly, completed the job in two days. The fence looks great, competitive pricing.

They were excellent. They were quick in their work. They had a great price and were very competitive. They were very professional and clean. From start to finish it was a great experience for us.

Associate who came out to give estimate was nice and spoke of the quality of the fencing and that Mr. Rose has a standard of excellence. Well, after waiting a few weeks for install(which we understood as it was in season), the job was completed. Approximately 1 week after install, doors were hitting posts and immediate posts around those doors leaning. Upon calling for follow-up repair(as they boast a warranty on install). We asked for someone to come out and review install and they sent someone to give an estimate on a new fence install. The individual that came out was frustrated that he was sent here(by the company). Finally, after getting transferred between Huntington and Freeport office, someone came out to Tamp the fence posts down. They came out and did that and it lasted for a few weeks. Then, in winter we just dealt with the posts by doors catching. During the winter months, the long run of the fence went on about a 15 degree lean and waved in the wind. This Spring we called and and another field manager came out. He stated that he saw the problem as he drove up. He again suggested that a re-tamp was needed and it could be (2) weeks before they come out. He suggested I follow up with the Freeport office for repairs to find out when tamping was scheduled. His reason for the fence leaning, was that we have had a strong wind season and rain and the ground is wet. He agreed that the gates needed adjustment and felt that the tamping down will fix the problem. Additionally, the piece of string that acts as the opening for the closure gets caught in the split that was made for the string to go thru. He stated that is the nature of the wood and that we could put wood fill in to fix. So, the gate stays in open position because the string gets caught and we have a dog that could get out at any time. We haven't had the final re-tamp, but are very dissatisfied with the install, subsequent repairs and over all quality of job. Again, our previous fence was up for 20 years without leaning, gate problems. It just looked old and wanted an update as it is on the roadside of a major roadway.

The salesman gave me good advice on choosing my fence. He even advised me against something that would have increased the sale price. Due to some masonry work I was having done, I had to reschedule the fence instillation three times. The Rose fence people were very accommodating. When the workers came, they listened carefully to what we wanted and did an excellent job. The fence is sooooo beautiful!!!! The workers were very friendly and cleaned up the yard when they were done. We couldn't be happier. We felt the price was very good. It was a lot of work.
