I do have to admit they matched the pattern, although I found a few spots where the word "match here", which should have been hidden, were sitting on my wall. The boss, Mr. Shlifer, really didn't do any of the work. The first day, two young guys took off the old paper and prepared the walls for new paper, and painted the trim. The second day, there were three workers, and I have yet to have workers in the house as sloppy as these three. The cleanup here took me almost a week. There was wallpaper paste, and heaven only knows what else, on everything, from the floor and counters, to the stove, front of the dishwasher, refrigerator, windows, and there were areas with the consistency of dried candle wax. The ceiling appeared to be discolored, and it looked as though there was either residue from wallpaper paste, or dirt from their hands. Although they sponged off parts of the ceiling in a cursory manner, when the light hit parts of the ceiling, you could see all the patches. They told me it was because it was still wet.I called the boss, Lenny Shlifer a day later, and said the ceiling was a mess, and that I could not wash everything off myself. He said he would call me at the beginning of the following week, June 10, and come here himself mid-week to clean off the ceiling. He never called, and has not returned any of my calls. Meanwhile, I am attempting to stand on the floor with a damp rag on a broom handle, wiping down parts of the ceiling. I have not been very successful, and may have to start all over again with someone else to take all the paper off and redo the kitchen.
