I called Michael Shain, owner and operator of New York Indoor Air Quality Solutions in request of having the indoor air quality of my home analyzed post mold remediation work performed by another company. After giving Mike a short description of my problem(s) and why I was requesting the IAQ analysis, Mike was not convinced that it was necessary and did not want me to waste money paying for unnecessary IAQ analysis and did not try to sell me services at anytime. Mikes sincere concern was for my health and well being, not for his profit. So, we made an appointment for that Saturday. Mike arrived a few minutes early and inspected my residence. He inspected every room and gave me a great deal of his invaluable knowledge and advice. Upon my request for IAQ analysis Mike did take air samples, had analysis performed and as he suspected mold spore counts were in a normal range. Michael Shain is very honest, personable, intelligent and knowledgeable. I regret not calling New York Indoor Air Quality Solutions first.

As honest as the day is long. Never tried to sell me on anything. Was as knowledgable and educated as a college professor, and answered everyone of my questions. I requested additional air samples to be taken in my basement, but Mike politely explained that that I would be just wasting my money. He felt he he what he needed to properly diagnostic the situation. When was the last time some told you not to give them money!!! I had ServePro come in and do the same testing, and the technician did not know his elbow from his you know what. I wish there were more dedicated people like Mike for plumbing, roofing, and electrical work!!! Thank you Mike!!

Everything from my first conversation with him to the work he performed was professional, thorough, and far exceeded my expectations. Even before I hired him he spent a lot of time on the phone with me and with the person who did the mold inspection. Mike Shain was very easy to work with and incredibly helpful. Another provider told us we needed mold remediation in our basement and provided a quote. I called Mike to get a second opinion and estimate for the same work. Mike came to our house very quickly and did an inspection. He explained what he found and that it was not mold in our basement. I'm so glad I called him, he was thorough and explained in detail all his findings. Would highly recommend.

All work was done with extreme care. We need to have sheetrock removed and carted away. Then the bare walls were scrubbed and treated. We had air scrubbers and Mike let us use them for a few extra days.

Michael Shain of NY Indoor Air Quality Solution was professional, considerate of our concerns, on time, and thorough from the beginning of the job until its completion.   We hired his company to remove the sheetrock, insulation, and hardwood floor and sanitize the areas contaminated with mold.  He and his assistance did everything from A to Z, including establishing a corridor of plastic to remove the tainted items without spreading to any other area of our home, which I can't stress enough gave us peace of mind that we had hired the right company for this work.  They vacuumed, applied plant based microbial treatment, and left (for 3 days) air machines to dry the area, and prior to picking up their equipment Michael Shain followed up with a phone call making sure everything was working well and no other issues had presented.  If, like me, mold makes you extremely nervous NY Indoor Air Quality Solutions is the company to put your mind at ease and we will keep their number on file should we ever need.  We highly recommend them.

The owner of the company, Michael, showed for the appointment promptly.  He explained the procedure, inspected the house and took 3 air samples.  During his inspection he let us know of his findings and gave us many ideas on what things needed to be done in the home to remedy the problem. After realizing that my home had mold I hired Michael Shain of NY Air Quality Solutions to perform an air quality testing. It was verified that the home needed to be remediated.  In addition to the basement a bathroom ceiling was also remediated. Mr. Shain was a terrific source of knowledge all around. He had suggestions about how to go about working with the homeowners insurance company.  When it came time for the remediation process, Mr. Shain was on the job along with his crew. The belongings were handled with consideration. I was made aware of anything valuable that I may have overlooked before. They were extremely considerate of my things. The crew were hard working and efficient. It was a trouble-free, unproblematic operation for me.  I was left with a completely clean basement and my home wasn't messed up at all!  You couldn't even tell that workers were at my house.
