Moved treadmill from front porch to basement. Great communication and flexible with schedule on short notice. Professional and courtesy. Kept me in the loop on arrival time. Would use again.

My girlfriend and I found Marvel on craigslist and were originally faced with skepticism and yet intrigued by their low cost of labor. We were living paycheck to paycheck and due to a recent back injury I was next to useless in carrying my furniture down two flights of stairs,and at age 30 I did not want to try and bribe friends with pizza and beer for help. Marvel showed up later than planned the first move due to us being a last minute client and multiple moves on a Saturday afternoon in crazy downpours so I wasn't upset or surprised. When they came in they were apologetic and worked faster than anyone I've ever hired while taking care to wrap/pad/stack my stuff in a rented uhaul I had. (You provide the truck and they provide the labor). We could not be happier with the speed and care provided by the owner/operator that handled our move. We just used them again yesterday for a move from poughkeepsie to Kingston and they were on time and did an outstanding job once again.

Not a pleasant experience. They ended up sending their and quot;sister companyand quot; because they were stuck at a job. Was told this in a text and when we tried to call them back they never answered their phone. Had expressed to and quot;mikeand quot; from the beginning that the furniture was large and heavy and the stairs were not easy to navigate through. He assured us that he had many years of experience and that it would not be an issue. So they send their and quot;sister companyand quot; who did manage to move in the furniture, but not without damaging the wood floor, walls, railing and stair molding of my newly built home. We contacted marvel movers about the damage and they were very apologetic and claimed they would and quot;make it rightand quot;. The following day they texted us the name and contact of the owner of their sister company and told us to contact him about the damage. They also added that if the other company didn't take care of it that marvel movers would and quot;take care of me 100%and quot;. After dealing with the owner of their sister company(which was a nightmare) we contacted marvel movers and explained that dealing with the other mover was not beneficial to the situation in any way. Once again we were told that marvel would take care of it. Since then we have spoken to nobody over the phone. We've received only texts that asked for pictures of the damage( which I sent), days and times when I would be available(which I gave) and my address(which you would think they would have, but was sent to them anyway). We've offered them the opportunity to come and see the damage first hand and they made no effort to see it. We were told once that the next day they would call and come over to and quot;settle upand quot;. They never called and never showed up. When we inquired as to what had happened the answer was that they are very busy. The last few texts we've sent asking when we can expect to be reimbursed the $200 spent to have the damage fixed have been ignored.

"My name is Mike Delehanty Owner of Marvel Movers. The very 1st thing I would like to make clear about this erroneous review is...#1. Marvel Movers notified this customer hours before our scheduled start time to inform them that we were stuck on a large job and not able to make it to them until late, or the following day. I referred them a completely separate company from my own (Hudson Valley/Quality Movers) Marvel Movers has never met the above customer in person. Above customer never once possessed a written contract with Marvel Movers. Never once have I even stepped foot in their house. So, it is not possible that we caused any damage. I referred another company. They accepted. Even allowed them to continue with the move despite their concern. My Sons and I stand by our work 100%. We have maintained a 5 star rating until this customer whom we never even worked for came along. Should also be known that the other moving Company has denied doing any damages and refused to pay this false claim. Should also be known that this customer did not contact me in regards to this claim until 2 days after the job was complete. They were not aware of damages the day of the move to bring it to the attention of the movers that were there? When it happened? I made it clear to this customer that if in fact I am in the wrong here and am legally responsible for this claim...? I will pay 100%. My Lawyer has informed me that this customer, in fact, seems to be attempting to extort $200 from me for damages my company, in fact, did not cause. Basically he is saying..."Give me $200. or I will give your company bad reviews. The customer also never allowed any time for the damages to even be seen or addressed by Marvel or by Quality. Went ahead and had a friend do repairs?...Once again...No contract. No legit bill/ statement for services rendered or explanation of charges for alleged damages. If you hired me to do some plumbing in your home...Due to circumstances beyond my control I am unable to make it...So I refer a completely different company to come in do the work, you accept and they cause damages. The 1 that referred the plumber is responsible? My Lawyer says...No! Marvel Movers is a small family owned and operated personalized moving and labor service...Father and Sons. We have 5 star reviews every where. We stand by our work 100%. This is in fact a bogus negative review from a person that has never met me, or any of my Sons. Mike and his son did a great job. They were prompt, quick and the price was right. I ended up recommending him to my friend for her move, and she had a great experience with them also.

Marvel Movers saved the day! The large trucking line that moved my gear from Las Vegas arrived in Newburgh, NY with inadequate labor. Mike and his team finished the job they were currently on and showed up at my place within 30 minutes my call for help. Mike's service was invaluable. He and his team were respectful, professional, and full of energy. They even worked through the rain! Many many thanks, Marvel Movers!
