The original agreement with Edward Sambriski Painting & Wallpaper was for them to do all the basic prep work to the home before also painting it. The job description was power washing, chalk, glazing, etc, tprime, trim and paint around windows, replace the fascia boards, fix step on the deck, among other things. They came and started the job, and at first the work did look good. They did the spackle around 2 windows, and when I admired them, they never said that the rest of the windows would NOT look like this. However they did say, that these windows were in a direct path to the home and were more visible than the others. The next thing I notice is that the other windows they were working on, were not getting spackled at all and looked rough and unfinished. When i brought this issue to their attention, I was told that spackling is not included in the job or estimate that we had agreed on. They said that they would do it for $75/window, which I have a large amount of windows, so this would have been an additional $3000. I went back and forth for awhile about the issue with them and finally decided that I didn't have the funds for the additional work and I told them just complete the job to the specifications on our contract. The work originally started August 24th, and they worked approximately 5-6 entire days. They worked hard while here. The conversation with them that is reference above about getting the work done to contract specifications took place yesterday, September 5th. So after the conversation, they worked for about an hour maybe, or didn't even do any work. They left at around noon time, for what I thought was their lunch break. They did return briefly and packed up all their equipment, ladders, etc. I have tried reaching them this morning and they do not answer and do not return my messages. At this point, I just want the job completed by a more reputable company and some of money back. There is no way that they did $7000 worth of work in 5-6 days.
Description of Work: I hired Edward Sambriski Painting & Wallpaper to paint the entire exterior of my home.
