THOMAS E BURGER FUNERAL HOME

Fantastic.  Obviously a funeral is not a fun time to arrange or have but they made a huge difference in how everything went.  
We have used another local firm in the past but that director sold his company and is retiring and the last experience there was very disappointing.  We wanted to try someone else and Thomas Burger's was totally different and surprising how good.
It started when we called at 11:00 pm on a Saturday to leave a message that we wanted to talk.  Their answering service was friendly and understanding (that's unusual).  Then Mr. Burger called us back  a few minutes later!
He expressed condolences of course but then talked to my sister-in-law and us for an hour about how things go in her circumstances, things to think about that had nothing to do with their services (legal things and hospital things).  We were on the phone until well after midnight and he made sure that we knew he was in no hurry to finish the call. The next day we met met with them at their funeral home.  They went through all the options and choices.  They were not pushy and many of the little things that I was used to having to pay for were just part of the package. (cards, pictures, etc)
They had good ideas about how to arrange things and get the experience to be one of remembering my brother-in-law's life not just this event. 
The actual memorial service was well done in all aspects. Because he was a younger man, the turnout was far bigger than we expected.  The staff at the funeral home were great and not hurried at all. 
The trip to the cemetery and the brief service there were all taken care of well.
I would recommend them to anyone in the Hilton/Brockport/Rochester area.
