This was a very negative experience. When he wrote the contract, it was written so that the work would be done to my satisfaction. The first issue was they were supposed to build columns. The columns were too small, so he had to rebuild them. He then recharged me for the new columns. We had a verbal agreement that he was to also put the electric covers on the plugs and switches. Today, however, he said he wouldn't do that because it was not in the written agreement. I have text messages from him, though, that state he went over budget and therefore, wouldn't finish his verbal agreement in reference to the electrical covers. Secondly, they told me they didn't do debris removal; I just learned this over the last week. I took care of this myself, however. I highly recommend if you hire him, include in the agreement that debris removal should be included, or he won't do that. Another thing, I regret not getting a full schematic from him. Even though he writes "to your satisfaction" in the agreement, it really meant nothing because I didn't have the measurements of the columns. The full schematic will be essential when hiring him. My biggest issue is that he didn't hold to his part of the agreement.
