Brian added a bathroom with tile shower and floor, guest bedroom, large closet, and finished stairs in basement. An egress window was installed. He was always professional and gave evidence of skills with design, carpentry, electrical, tile installation, heating and venting, painting and plumbing (assistant for putting in plumbing through cement floor). He incorporated my ideas along with offering great additional suggestions for design. All work stayed on track within projected timeline with Brian on the job directly sometimes with an assistant. Brian sent daily text updates with pictures. Everything was beautifully finished, works perfectly, and gives evidence of an expert craftsman. If you are considering hiring Brian to work on your home, yes yes ...hire him. I am totally happy with his work and collaboration.

It is fantastic. He worked closely with the electrician and designer to ensure everything went smoothly. He tried to ensure as little interruption to our lives as possible and made good on his promise of a kitchen by Christmas. You can see the care in his work. His price came in lower than the big companies. We received higher end cabinets and features than the bigger companies were offering as well. He is there every day ensuring you are happy with what is occurring. You should trust a person if they will be in your house every day for a month or more. It is worth getting an estimate over one of the bigger companies.

I can't compliment Brian enough. His was not the lowest of all the bids that I received but I felt we would have the most compatible working relationship, and that he would be honest and use the best materials within my budget (e.g., almost all the wood he used was from sustainable sources). I was not disappointed. He and his assistant Mike were always prompt, arriving between 7 and 7:30 a.m. every morning, very organized, working steadily until a natural break in the work. Brian has a very even-keel personality, treating everyone around him with respect. Although I changed my mind on a few things (height of windows), he never appeared irritated and did his best to accommodate me.
Just as important as his work ethic is his esthetic sense. Although not pushy about it, when asked he would share his design ideas, and I usually followed his suggestions (e.g., staggering the tiles, choosing a more traditional sconce than the one I had originally bought). He noticed and appreciated architectural details of the entire house and suggested we maintain some of those, like the arched windows in the kitchen door and the beadboard in the porch ceiling.
Since we have a steep driveway, we were not able to get a dumpster, so instead Mike very tidily piled the debris for garbage pickup, and took the time to separate out for me items I wanted to recycle (doors, windows, metal).
Unlike another contractor I consulted, Brian was much more realistic about the time the job would take, if anything, slightly overestimating. The other contractor said one week which would have been a total slap-dash job. Brian estimated 3 weeks and was done in 18 days, even taking some pre-scheduled family reunion time within that period while we were awaiting the arrival of the windows. I appreciated how methodical he was, his attention to detail and his fine craftsmanship. I like that he took the time to explain things. I was originally going to have him install radiant heat instead of a baseboard but he talked me out of it not only because of greater cost but because Home Depot personnel reported to him complaints that after a year it stopped working, and once it's embedded in the tile, it's a huge job to remove and replace it.
We started with a mudroom with broken windows, chewed up doors, a cracked uneven concrete floor and torn up siding that leaked air, too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter, completely full of junk and unusable for anything other than storage. We ended up with a lovely all-weather porch which can double as a guest room overlooking the backyard. I asked Brian to install ledges on the windows, which is where many of my plants are now thriving in the muted northern-facing light. It's so calm and peaceful in there that I hesitate to fill it up with furniture! For now I do yoga in what I fondly call "The Cottage" even though it's only 100 square feet, and I feel very, very happy.
Since Brian is so versatile, I will call him again for any of the smaller jobs I need done around the house. He is a complete pleasure to work with, a real gem.

Brian and his assistant, were prompt and professional while working my newly purchased 1800 sq. ft. 1966 built ranch home in Penfield in June 2014. He replaced the kitchen floor with ceramic tile, installed new appliances, ( gas and water lines were needed ), cabinets cleaned and finished and added a conter top coffee bar. The entrance into the dinning room was enlarged to 48 in. and the dinning wall was removed opening both dinning living room as one room. The living room fireplace was redone in natural stone from ceiling to the floor with a gas insert installed. The interior was painted with two coats which included three bed rooms, two bath rooms kitchen, dinning / living room, hallways and new interior closet doors. A new closet was built to hold the stacked washer and dryer in the second bed room. The job took about two and a half weeks. The paint, stone, tile, counter tops were purchased by myself. I'm very satisfied by the results.

Brian and Jeff, his assistant, were promptly on time for this large job. I had purchased a 1800 sq. ft.,ranch, 1966 built home in Penfield, in June,2014. I wanted someone that could update, combine both living room and dinning room into one area. There was an exsisting fireplace and hardwood floors in both rooms. They created an open space by removing the dinning room wall and inlarging the kitchen entrance. The kitchen floor was replace with ceramic tile along with granite countertops. My new counter top gas stove was installedand converted to a new gas line. The living room fireplace was refaced to the ceiling with stone and a gas insert. The interior walls were painted with two coats of paint which I purchased. They also added a small closet on the main floor (second bed room)for my stacked washer and dryer with a new gas line and install . I paid for my granite counter tops.

Brian was the first contractor of many that I had spoken with that was honest about the work that needed to be done and fair with the cost. The attention to detail while doing the repairs was noticed. Brian kept in contact daily with the progress and timeline to completion. I am very pleased with the finished work. I would use this company again.

Brian was on time and ready to get started the day we had scheduled for the work to be done. He took the time and explained the whole process to me before he got started. Brian was very respectful of my house and was careful not to damage anything during the installation of my floor. Brian was very efficient; it only took him about a day and a half to complete the project.
I would recommend this company to friends and family.
Thanks Brian, For everything!
