Description of Work: An old-fashioned clock repair person. He works out of his house where you can see his wonderful collection of clocks. I thought the repair was a bit hight but then I had nothing to compare it to so it may be the rate of putting in a new movement. I highly recommend him.

Description of Work: My grandfather clock had not worked in approx 16 months. The gentleman fixed it and serviced it for a very reasonable fee. He said if the problem returned in a two week period he'd come back and take it to the shop and apply the money already paid to any repair bill. I think he's great and would use him again in a heartbeat!

 + -1 moreMr. Weiss was wonderful. He not only fixed several clocks that had been in the family for decades but also told me many things about their types, care, and histories that I had not known. It was more an education than a service call. His house-call was like a private session with a distinguished professor.
Description of Work: Made a house-call to fix an old grandmother clock and fixed several other old clocks that had not run for decades.

 + -1 moreHe was very professional. He examined the clocks thoroughly and explained what he thought was the problem and how to remedy it. Before doing any work, he explained what parts he would need and what these would cost. When he was ultimately repair the broken pieces, he adjusted the price (lower) since the parts were not needed.

 + -1 moreExcellant. Showed up on time. Completed work and provided good advice for keeping clocks running.
Description of Work: Repaired 2 clocks. One had not run in 7 years. One was a Grandfather and the other a wall clock. Cleaned and repaired them. Really knew his business. Only downside was cost. Seemed like alot of money for one hour work. In fairness had called several other clock repair people who either never called back or did not show up. So if you are good I guess you can command your price. I would recommend but advise to be ready to pay. He did come to house so that has to be considered in pricing.
