For what he did it took all of 8 minutes and he didn't fix anything he just readjusted a spring. My thinking is if it's simple like what I had wouldn't you charge maybe half the price. I look at it as a great PR move and I would def recommend him and say he was more then fair. Just saying...

I called on Tuesday and they gave me a 4 hour window. I work close to my home so I asked if he could call my cell phone when
he was close so I could get home - instead of losing a day of work.

He told me what he would do before he started, let me know that there was a $50 charge for the visit - in case it was the
washer just had a fork in the bottom - which is fair. I don't expect a repairman to come to my house for free.

He told me the price based on what he suspected it was, but warned me that if the motor needed to be replaced, it
would be much more expensive and it may be worth just replacing the washer.

The repair was done in half an hour - there was no charge for the visit - just for the repairs done. Robert also told
us that if we wanted to buy new appliances - like a stove or refrigerator - that we could call him for advice on which
brands were better made - based on how often he has to repair the brand.

All told, I found Richie to be friendly, knowledgeable, and most important, trustworthy. If you are in his service area ( Eastern Nassau County-extreme Western Suffolk), I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Richie's Appliance Repair is a reputable and reliable appliance repair business. His work quality was very good and he came exactly when he said he would. He was responsive and called me to let me know when the part came and that he would be right over. I thought he was very professional and clean. He didn't leave a mess at all.
