Jacobs Wood Craft Custom Cabinetry

Jacobs craftsmanship is excellent. Always on time, courteous & professional. I thought a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for - a great product. After completion, did have a minor issue, but Jacob responded & corrected to my satisfaction.

Jacob did an absolutely amazing job. His workmanship is second to none. From the beginning in helping us design the project to the final fit and finish Jacob helped guide us all along the way. Everything came out beautiful. He also did our bathroom Vanity and that too came out great. He was very responsive to all our quetions and concerns. Even at the end when we were installing the marble around the fireplace, we were having some issues and Jacob went (and drove) out of his way to help address the issue and saved the day! Simply the best!

Jacobs Woodcraft is a professional custom cabinet maker . The owner, Jacob, came to my home to measure for the area I wanted the cabinet built, he provided several colors that would match the area as well as provide recommendations to make sure that the cabinet lasts forever. Jacob provided a few designs and we stayed in touch via email. The installation was very professionally done and everyone loves it.

We would like to apologize to Jacob and Pablo for not doing this review sooner. Right off the bat, I'd like to say that it was truly a pleasure working with Jacob and Pablo. They are both incredibly professional, hard-working, polite, and nice. We needed a custom bookshelf-***-media cabinet built, 12 feet long by 8 feet high, contemporary with really thick shelves, space for a TV and drawers on the bottom, in a driftwood grey-wash finish. We had a very specific idea in mind as to what we wanted it to look like, and we had diagrammed it, as we were searching for someone to build it. Jacob came over for our initial consultation, and was, in fact, early -- he was always a little early, we never had to wait for him. We showed him our diagram, as well as photos that had inspired it. We also showed him pictures of the finish color we wanted. He was really thoughtful, and had some great suggestions on how to execute the design. He also suggested soft close drawers as well as the types of wood veneers he thought we might like. He purchased matching sheets of veneer so that the grain matched and was continuous as much as possible and where necessary. He came back to us with quotes for the different types of wood options, and we felt he wasn't pushing the most expensive options. We made another appointment to discuss further details of the design. He said he had been thinking about the design and had come up with an even better idea of how to execute it. In talking further, he felt he would need to use less material than he had initially thought, and revised our quote down. He said he would return with the custom finish samples based on our inspiration pictures, and on a few different types of wood. After the first round of samples, we wanted to make some adjustments to the finish color, and he was more than happy to work with us and get us exactly what we wanted. His partner, Pablo works on the finishes. He gave us an estimated timeframe and in fact emailed us a couple of weeks prior to that to say they were done and could install it sooner if we wanted. He and Pablo came over on the assigned day with all the parts and peices and assembled it on-site. They constantly gave us options for where the shelves could go as they were assembling it. They work really well together. You could see they really respected each other, and double-checked each other when necessary. They worked through without even breaking for lunch and got the installation done in the two days they had estimated. They cleaned up after themselves really well, both nights. The shelves look fantastic!! The workmanship is really precise and clean and when people come over their jaws drop.

They took apart the cabinet and reassembled in the bathroom. Very clean. Only small issue is the doors don't quite close 100%, but considering what they did it is something we can live with.

Jacobs woodcraft is totally professional. The owner, Jacob, came to my home to measure for my table and plate rail for my new kitchen. I have a small kitchen and wanted a farm table in a smaller size than a standard sized table. Jacob crafted a beautiful table out of oak that would rival any custom made table. He brought me wood samples and stain samples, dropping off several at my house more than once. I changed my mind several times about the kind of table I wanted and the color I wanted. He was most patient with my constant changes. He made me a shop drawing of the table, even though I changed my mind about the style. When I sent him a picture of a table I found on the internet, he was able to recreate it exactly, down to the exact style and color. When he delivered the table, he was extremely careful when carrying it into the house. The installation of the plate rail was done very professionally, cleanly and the color matched my cabinets exactly. I would definitely contract with him in the future for any other custom wood project. It is hard to find a true artisan today in this world of "cookie cutter" furniture. I found him on Angie's list and the best part was that he was local and his prices are reasonable for the level and quality of work that he does.

Great. We hired Jacob to construct a 12' decorative stained maple counter top. At our first meeting, Jacob took measurements and gave us some helpful design ideas. He said the finished project would be ready in 3 weeks. True to his word, 3 weeks later, Jacob and Pablo installed our new counter. Each email or phone message was promptly answered. We are extremely happy with the results. We would highly recommend Jacobs Wood Craft for any woodworking project anyone might want. The care and attention to detail was very professional.

We wanted a bookcase, with framed drawers and moldings, thick shelves and varied depths.  It was important to us that it looked well-made, seamlessly built-in, and very high-end (thick shelves and walls, drawers and lower doors with some detail, etc).
We called Jacob and made an appointment for him to see the space and talk ideas.  It was apparent to us immediately that Jacob and his team member Pablo were consummate professionals.  He is a good listener, made great suggestions that were not about him upselling or making anything easier for him.  As soon as our initial visit was under way, we were impressed and engaged him to also build a bar for us.  The space for the bar was less than ideal (crooked walls, small) but he took it all in stride.
He then gave us an estimate and sketches.  We thought the estimate was very fair based on our requirements.  The sketches were a great way to communicate with us and we went through several edits/iterations.  During that time, he never nickel and dimed us about our changes, and he was thorough, patient, and responsive with our tweaks. 
After we agreed upon all the details, he gave us a timeline of when he would be done.  A week early, he called to say they were ready to install.  He and Pablo came for several days to install.  They were punctual, very clean, and super efficient. 
The final products were just beautiful - everything we had hoped for and more.  Everyone who has seen them has just stared at them and said "wow"! 
Obviously, we can't speak highly enough about Jacob and Pablo.  They are craftsman, not just cabinetmakers and they take pride and care in all they do.  Jacob's communications were always timely and concise.  We recommend them highly.

I found Jacob on Angies list and called to set an appointment . He arrived right on time.  set to  measurements and gave me an estimate on what he was thinking.  I thought it was a fair price, 
jacob and Pablo   did an exceptional job . not only  they are wonderful people  extremely proficient, professional, courteous and timely manner,gentlemans to deal with The quality of their  work is exceptional.
They  resolved any  issues that arise doing the job  and  after the job . 
I had painting  done in the house one of the painters left something on the  wood shelf   which left a terrible stain. I called Jacob and the day after he  and Pablo came  repairing the awful mistake that someone else did  .
All I can say is wow! 
 I can't say more about how pleased I am.  When you hear the term master craftsman and decent, fair, respectable 
 its a definition of Jacob and Pablo 
I am truly grateful for the beautiful work and their sincere, sweet demeanor. It is obvious how much they loves their job.
 

Three weeks later he called to say they were finished and made an appointment to have them installed. The bookcase was delivered in pieces and assembled in our apartment. It was fascinating to watch the assembly process and the care that went into putting it all together. When completed, we were overjoyed with the poduct

We had Jacob and Pablo back to do another wall unit for us.  It turned out exactly the way we envisioned it.  They were very pleasant and went out of their way to make it exactly as we desired. 
They are prompt, professional, and very easy to work with.  The cost of their work is very reasonable and the quality is first-rate.  When they are done, they clean up after themselves. We will use them again in the future, and recommend them to anyone else who needs expert woodworking.

Jacob & Pablo did a great job.  Jacob worked with us to get exactly what we were looking for.  We kept in touch through email and phone, and he made sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it to be.  The job was done ahead of schedule and they did a fantastic job installing it.  We are very pleased with their work and plan to have them do more work in the future.

Estimate by phone did not change when was done. Jacob & worker arrived early and waited in their truck when I was not home without complaining. Works fast, neat, plus cleaned up afterwards. Provided excellent customer service throughout . Will definitely use Jacob's again!

I wanted a floating media cabinet in our den. I contacted Jacob and he came by our house. He listened to what we wanted and sketched up a drawing. He is very professional and has great customer service. We ordered not only the Media Cabinet, but also two custom radiator covers. He gave us a quote, a timeline, and kept us informed as to his progress. A couple of weeks later, he came by to install the media cabinet with his partner, and it turned out GREAT! We were so pleased with the outcome, these guys are very professional. They were very careful in with our cherry wood floors and couldn't be anymore happier. I definitely am going to use them in the future....they are true experts in their field.

Jacob and Pablo are friendly, professional, hardworking and committed to doing the job right.  They returned repeatedly to correct any issues.
