Contractor completed roof. However, i paid half of this up front and the other half was due upon completion. I gave the contractor a check for the remainder. He called and asked for a different check because the one i gave him would not clear his bank quickly enough. I said I would do that if I could cancel the other check. He cashed both checks before the first one had time to cancel. I then contacted the user to return the funds for one of these checks since I had now overpaid for services by $1844. He said he would but made no restitution. I brought him to small claims court where i received a judgement in my favor for the $1844. This was December 2012 and i have yet to receive any money from this contractor. I recommend not using this contractor for any reason!!!!!!!
