Had them come out to do an estimate for rotted out floor joists.  Called several times never got an estimate.  Terrible.

They really didn't stand by what they said they were going to do and the pricing was way over other people.

On the day of the appointment they were a no show and to add insult to injury they did not call or email to cancel in advance. I called them after waiting 1 hour and was told something to the effect of "oh, we're too busy to get to you". How rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

Overall, a very professional outfit that charges a reasonable price and delivers high quality work.
A good sign was the honesty in the appraisal of what needed to be done.  In my case, the main issue was that I didn't just need a new flat roof, I needed to have some restructuring done to the roof itself.  That turned out to be exactly correct.  They did that, the roof, gutter work, and then some painting.
Another good sign is the number of staff that these guys have.  On the day that they did the garage roof, they show up with 8 guys.  Ok, so, it's only a 1 car garage.  Well, 8 guys who all know what they are doing can knock out a new garage roof pretty efficiently.  This is not a vendor you will have to chase to have them show up and do the job.
Two winters have passed and now we are into a third winter.  That's enough time to make a fair assessment on a roof job.  Well, I can report no leaks, no drama, no issues whatsoever.  Nice.

I did not end up working with them because the work they said needed I didn't end up having to do. I thought they were very nice. They responded promptly. They were good. They gave me a good impression. They were professional.

We are having problem with a leak. We called someone to come and take a look and tell us what the best course of action was. They sent somone who has only been doing this a year and really did not help at all. I had to take off 2 hours of work because the only give 2 hour windows with the last one being from 3-5. He told me I should call my insurance company. What good is that if I do not know what to tell them what is wrong and I have no estimate. The whole experience made absolutely no sense!!

When I called the office they were forthright up front that the minimum cost would be $500. It seemed like a lot of money, but I don't know what others were charging and I was desperate to remove the ice and eliminate the threat of still more leaks who knows where else in the house. The crew came the same day, I think. My only quibble is that the leader of the team that showed up to do the work implied that the amount of ice and snow that had to be removed would cost less than the originally quoted $500. When I was billed the full $500 I reported what the team leader had said and they said they would think about it. They sent a new bill for $450. Although I wasn't thrilled at first, in retrospect that was fair.
The important thing is that they showed up quickly, they had a cheerful attitude, got right to work, and whatever they removed from the roof fixed the leaks for the rest of the winter. So all in all they were professional and effective.

My experience was below average. The work was fine, but contacting them was difficult and the work took four times longer than it was supposed to. But the work was good.

I had a problem with chipping paint on the tudor-style wood trim on my house. I was very unhappy because the trim had been painted by another contractor who did a terrible job and the chipping was so bad it was visible from across the street. Dennis sent someone to examine the exact scope of the job within two days of our call. We received an estimate and request for half of the payment the next day via email. with a hard copy following in the mail a few days later. Dennis's men showed up exactly on time and the work was promptly begun. The men worked very hard in grueling heat (we took the soda and water), and only broke for lunch. They were courteous and totally professional. Also, they were very neat and clean. They did a total clean up before leaving my property--and I mean a TOTAL cleanup. I am VERY happy with the work. It was done professionally, to my specifications, and they showed up when they said they would and completed the work exactly it was supposed to be done. I want to add that Dennis Adams did a major renovation that included a completely new kitchen and bath, new wood floors (laid on the diagonal--beautiful), finishing an attic--including installing insulation and 4 skylights, replacing old knob and tube wiring with up-to-code electrical wiring throughout the house. That was nine years ago and still when people enter my house for the first time they say "wow, this is beautiful." Then, about five years ago, Dennis replaced all of the windows in my sun room with energy-efficient ones. Those were larger jobs than the current one, but each time Dennis Adams did an excellent, professional, no-nonsense job, left my house neat and clean and each time they did a beautiful job.

I called Dennis Adams because I have been really happy with past jobs on my house. Adams Roofing completed a gut renovation on my house back in 2004--and I still get complements on the work! They began work in July, and the house was move-in ready by October. They showed up for work every day and did a spectacular job. Five years ago, Adams Roofing replaced all of the windows in my sunroom. They showed up when they said they would, and completed the job exactly on schedule. The last job they did for me was just a little more than one week ago. I had a stucco job that included painting the outside trim on my house done by another contractor. It was a BIG mistake to go to someone else. The paint on the trim began peeling within 3 years and just looked terrible. I called Dennis Adams, he send someone to look at the job, gave me a VERY reasonable estimate and, as in the past, his workers came exactly when he said they would. They were courteous, competent, hard working and completed the job ahead of time. The upshot is that the house looks fabulous. I would recommend Adams Roofing, not just for roofing but for ALL of the myriad kinds of work they do, to everyone. I am really serious when I say the people come into my home and say "wow" this is beautiful. I will also point out that, even when Dennis subcontracts, he makes sure that the subcontractors deliver the same excellent work, on time and on budget, just like he does with his own men. And, by the way, they do not leave a mess behind. When they leave the house looks wonderful and they leave it clean as a whistle.

I highly recommend using this company, they were so responsive and professional and that means every single person I had contact with.... from the person giving the estimate to the workers to the people in the office. We have a long ranch house with an extension, so a lot of roof, two different types of roof and several skylights, so an expensive job no matter how you looked at it. On this type of a job price is important but quality more so, you want the best for a good price and this is exactly what we got.
Prompt, efficient and professional from the first contact. Price was competitive and pleasantly straightforward. No hard sell: measure then very prompt detailed written estimate. Clear contract, started on schedule and finished on schedule. Cleaned up after themselves, no damage to anything when working. There was a miscommunication on the color of the gutters, most likely our fault actually, and not a problem at all, installation cheerfully rescheduled.
Ironically, the job was right before the Sandy storm that decimated my yard, our yard was a war zone of downed trees and the damage therefrom. I remember distinctly hearing a very loud thump on the roof that night like something large hit it, I think the huge heavy top of a tree that then rolled off and hit our patio so hard it dislodged flag stone. The roof and skylights held tight. So that roof is battle tested and passed with flying colors.
They have a contracting affiliate that does other work I will always call these guys for any job I might have.

After the completion of the bathroom, we discovered that the shower leaked through the floor thereby causing extensive damage to the downstairs hallway beneath. The drain had been impropertly installed. I agreed to let Adams correct the problem, but unfortunately his second attempt failed and leaked through the ceiling again. I foolishly agreed to again let Adams repair the problem for the second time which entailed the entire demolition of the marble shower floor, bench and lower walls of the enclosure (which is 6'x3'). Instead of removing the defective drain and installing a new one, he just installed a second cement floor on top of the original floor. He then used $400 worth of my marble supply to retile the shower enclosure for which no reimbursement was made. That supply of marble was intended for my next bathroom renovation. That demolition and installation failed.
He expected me to allow these same workmen to try for a fourth time. No. I hired a local licensed plumber (Dave Goldberg Plumbing) who repaired the plumbing. The overall repair was so extensive that yet again the marble floor, bench and lower walls had to ripped out, the custom glass doors had to be removed and reinstalled. I had to buy more marble, and there was the expense of an experienced marble/tile installed. The hall ceiling needed to be repaire and repainted. Total cost of repair out of pocket was $6,423.02.
He refuses to this date to reimburse me for his negligent work. I was forced to hire a lawyer, and I am currently involved in a lawsuit with him in the Supreme Court of the State of New York. Now I have the additional expense of attorney's fees and court filing fees.
Homeowners, make sure your contractor uses licensed, skilled and experienced workers. Also make sure the workmen who show up to actually perform the services (Dennis Adams was an absentee contractor) speak English.

We called several reputable people to get estimates, one person came and spent hours measuring then trying to sell us on them and their products. Another one came and spent a lot of time then never bothered to even get back to us with an estimate. This company, came on a Saturday morning, let us know they were there, asked what we wanted, measured and we got an email with the estimate on Monday, with a written estimate in the mail shortly thereafter.
I give a B for the cost as the estimate was not really below others and not cheap per se, however, the estimate was in line with others and maybe slightly less but if so not by much, HOWEVER, it was very reasonable for the work done and I actually do not put the highest emphasis on cost when getting important work like this done, a cheap roof will not last 30 years.
They were very co-operative, updated the estimate quickly two times when we added things and came when they said they would.
Everyone, from the office workers to the salesman, the workers and the foreman were all really responsive, polite and more than competent.
They moved things they needed to like all our deck furniture, worked quickly and were done in a week. We live in NY and Hurricane Sandy hit shortly after, the top of a tree fell on the roof and rolled off and we took a LOT of tree damage from the high winds. The roof remained perfect.
I could not recommend these guys any higher,

He tried to repair it 2 times. At which point I had to call a plumber, and new tile guys. It set me back 6400.00. I'm in the process of suing him. He wants to pay for what he wants to pay for. He is willing to admit he screwed up the plumbing. What he wants is for his company to come back in, and reinstall the marble. It was poorly installed the first time. I told him no. It was at this point he said forget it I'm not paying for anything. I had to hire a lawyer, and I'm suing him.
