Raffa Plumbing, Heating, & A/C

From the repair call to the estimate to the installation, this was a positive experience. The technicians were prompt, friendly, and did very good work. They were also incredibly responsive. When a problem showed up, through no fault of the installation, I emailed Chris on a Sunday afternoon. He responded early that evening and had someone there to fix it at 8:15 the next morning.

I initially called Raffa to maintain my boiler. It turned out that the boiler was releasing a high level of Carbon Monoxide. I called Con Ed O&R who confirmed that it was off the chart. I had to shop for a new boiler. My Tech, Rob told me that Chris Raffa would give me a quote. Chris sent me a very thorough quote which included all the materials and labor. There were zero surprises. I got 4 other quotes. These quotes involved not only the same material but the same boiler in 2 cases. One guy wrote a quote vaguely on my wife's notepad ($2400 more). One guy sent me a quote with 10.15% tax on labor. Raffa was by far the lowest. 2 gentlemen came and installed the boiler. Rob was super helpful to my wife. Everything went seamlessly and there were no surprises. This is the best outcome that a person can ask for. I'm very happy with Raffa and how they work.

The work came out good. I hired them on an hourly rate as I thought they were honest. They ended up ripping every wire out of the house on the first day and spent the next 2 weeks rewiring it which did not need to be done. A job that was supposed to cost approx. $5,000 turned into a $12,000+ job. Would NEVER use them again!

I contacted other companies. They either charge more than 30% more than Raffa, or doesn't guarantee they can replace the 50 year old shower head because it is located in a small space, and needs to open a dry wall. I contacted Raffa, and Rob showed up on time. He gave an evaluation and a quote. Later, he came with a new tank, and did a great job in a professional way for a reasonable price. I only hope he could fill the hole on the drywall with some wood plate. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service and highly recommended to others.

Prompt, Corteous and persistent. Raffa went above and beyond to fix a heating problem that reguired several days of troubleshooting. I would highly recommend.

Mr. Raffa has become our go-tor electrician, he is responsive reasonable, , personable and he gets the job done . he  also shares usefully advice.

Very good.  Showed up on time.  Fixed the problem fast and then tested the rest of the system because "You are paying for the service call so I might as well check everything out while I'm here."  Everything was fine so it wasn't a troll for business.  I was very happy with them.

Very professional plumber. After careful inspections he told me there was no leak in the bathroom due to plumbing issues and there were other reasons for the leak (grouting issue in the floor tiles.)

Every time I used raffa plumbing I've had a positive experience. The workers are always very efficient and extremely friendly and nice. They always go the extra mile too. For example, when fixing leaking toilet tank, he noticed toilet was lose and secured and recaulked it. Whenever I call for appts, they always schedule me right away. Very good company that we will continue to use.

The plumber was friendly and efficiently removed the old toilet and fitted the new one. He removed all old materials and boxes. In fact, he left the bathroom as clean and neat as he found it. We thought he did an excellent job. We would ask for him specifically when needing any other plumbing work.

When you ask for the price of this service, we say we paid $129. Normally, this toilet installation would have been $260. We had gotten an online deal from faucetdirect.com where they were paying for any difference in installation price above the $129 - the price we paid faucetdirect. Upon completing the job, our plumber had to call his office to find out about how he was to be paid since he was sent on this job without knowing that we had paid faucetdirect,com the $129 fee when we purchased the new toilet and parts from them. All was cleared up after he spoke to his receptionist who explained how the fee would be paid.

Had a Main drain line clogged so kitchen sink dishwasher and washing machine were all backing up into the slop sink in the laundry room. We have used Raffa Plumbing before and will continue to use them as the are honest, professional and reliable.

A plumber came out and replaced the pump, took the old one away, but left several screws to the pump behind. The phone woman called back to say they couldn't return the pump because there were missing screws. I informed her the plumber left them behind and that I would leave them in my mailbox in a clearly marked envelope for them to pick up. That was 11 days ago and after several reminder phone calls, the envelope with the screws is still sitting in my mailbox. I'm beginning to believe that Raffa has no intention of returning the malfunctioning pump to try and get a reimbursement, after all, they've got my payment for the
replacement pump. Why should they even bother?
My plan is to call tomorrow and ask to speak to the owner and see if I can get him to send someone out to pick up the screws. He will then have an opportunity to correct this wrong. We'll see how it goes.

He came here to look at a job. He waited to long to give me an estimate. It was like two weeks and I got somebody else, but he was professional and I am going to call him now for my air conditioning.

We recommend them. We have lived here for 55 years. The old Mr. Raffa did our plumbing work; so we have many years of experience with them. They are very reliable and gracious. We spent thousands of dollars for putting in the central air system. It was a reasonable price for very good work. So, we feel that it's a fair price. Their responsiveness is wonderful and their punctuality is excellent. Their professionalism is perfect. We will continue to use them till no more plumbing is necessary.
