Sweeney's was on time and handled the conversion to saltwater, the installation of a variable speed pump, and the opening of my pool with almost no effort on my part. They were easy to work with and extremely helpful. The best part is that they have responded to any calls or texts and gave me helpful answers to any of my pool related questions. During the opening, the tech answered any of my questions about maintaining a saltwater pool. The entire team goes above and beyond for their customers. I highly recommend them.

Sweeneys always does a great job opening, closing and cleaning my pool. They’re easy to get a hold of, and I never have to wait long for a service appointment.

Such a great service company. The technicians are great and keep our pool looking its best. The office staff is always easy to get in touch with and are able to schedule appointments quickly. Everyone is super friendly.

The teams did a great job. The entire process took a couple of days. The team on site was able to answer all questions regarding the project. Kenny was also available and responded promptly to any concerns. I would definitely use them again for further pool projects and would highly recommend them.

Excellent. Three other companies incorrectly assessed the situation of pool drainage and recommended new plumbing. Fortunately, I found Sweeney’s and they were able to “save” the pool with a new liner - and quickly!

I have been using Sweeny’s pool service for 2 years. They have always provided excellent service. The cost of service is very affordable without any compromise to service.

Some of the best parts of hiring Kenny and the team at Sweeney’s Pool Service is the responsiveness and expertise. All communications and questions are returned promptly and always comprehensive. Kenny’s continued responses to all my novice pool questions (via email, text or phone) were always quickly answered, thorough and complete and he always had patience and took the time to walk me through many of the aspects of our large renovation job. Even though I had many questions, he never made me like I was pestering him. They came when promised, did the job quickly and professionally, and always left everything clean. And they do great work! There were a few snags along the way with leaky pipes and pressure issues due to a well overdue filter cleaning and I was always informed about any possible new charges and was given options before anything was done. I can give the same praise to the office staff, always on point for my billing and scheduling questions and I never had any issues. Thanks to the whole team for a worry-free renovation! I will definitely continue to use Sweeney’s for any future needs for my pool.

The technicians were scheduled to do a routine pool opening on 6/26. I was at home in the sitting room when I heard voices in my back yard. I went out to check on what was going on and the 2 technicians were out on the pool deck. They did not ring my doorbell to let me know they arrived, or introduce themselves and they left the gate to the backyard open where my dog was out playing. It is lucky that she did not run away. After I went out to greet them they told me that there was too much water on the cover, from rain the night before, and they couldn't continue without it being pumped off. They said they could do it for an extra $75 fee or they could just dump the water in the pool. I agreed that they could dump the water so that they could continue with their work. After a while I came out to check on them and noticed that the cover was folded in the corner, still wet and the water bags thrown over the pool railing. The technician should know if a cover is put away wet it will grow mold, the cover should've been left out to dry first before it was folded and that was not done. After all the tubing was connected I noticed that the skimmer looked a little odd and inquired about it. The technician then noticed he put it on backwards and fixed it. As they were getting ready to leave I noticed they left a bag in the water and I asked if they were going to remove it. The technician seemed unconcerned that he left the bag floating in the water. I asked him to remove it and went to help him take it out of the pool and I nearly fell in because the stair railing was so loosely screwed in. I then had to ask him to screw the railing in properly. As I went to close out the transaction with them I ran through the list that is posted on the website of things that they're supposed to perform during the pool opening. Many of them were not completed. One of those items was that the filter was not filled with DE because the water level of the pool was only filled to the skimmer, as was instructed by the person who schedules the appointments. I was then handed shock to use myself after I run the filter, back wash it and check for leaks. All of those services were supposed to be provided by sweeneys at the pool opening. Shortly after I paid them and they left my husband came home to check on everything. He then noticed the chlorinator was not put in place and that the filter port was installed backwards to the flow of the port. So tell me what service did I actually pay $200 for? The technicians were completely unprofessional and now i have to dry out and refold my own pool cover, flip the hoses that were put on incorrectly, set up, add DE, run and backwash my own filter, clean out and shock my pool before we can even use it. My family and I are at the least to say, very disappointed with the "service" we received. We will never be using them again and reccomend you do not waste your time with them either.

I wanted to share my experiences with Sweeny’s pools and the owner, Kenny. I’ve been working with Kenny since he started his business about 5 years ago. Before that, we had gone through 4 or 5 different pool companies and we were never able to keep someone for an extended period as they were either unreliable, or simply didn’t do the job well enough. First time working with Kenny, I had a pump that was on it’s way out, but Kenny spent the time repairing the pump to get it up and running immediately as we had an event the next day. His repair allowed us to go through that season, with the knowledge that we would be upgrading the following year. Since then, we have upgraded our pump, switched to a salt generator, put a heater in, and re-piped all the plumbing necessary for the job. His staff is courteous, prompt, and does an excellent job on the weekly maintenance. I have only great things to say about Kenny and his staff and will continue to use them for years to come. It’s difficult here on Long Island to find a small business that is both service and retail that treats you as well as Sweeny’s pools does. Highly recommended!

Terrible service. They came to open my pool without an appointment just called the day they were on the way. They showed up charged me an extra 70 dollars to clean off the top of the cover and dumped half the leaves and algae build up on top of the cover into my pool. They hooked up my pump and filter and left all the bults loose and the connections to the pool not sealed. I had to call every day for a week to get a tech out here to fix the filter. The pool is still a mess and now I have to call a different company to come clean it out. The filter still is not running right and everything was perfect last year when I had a different company do it. Terrible company never hire them again.
