About us

Housing Rehabilitation Assistance (HRA) is a community based organization primarily created to deal with the two main issues that prevent most homeowners from completing home improvement projects: Affordability and Difficulty finding contractors.Many homes, especially older ones are in dire need of repairs and renovations, whether for upkeep or for energy efficiency reasons. In difficult economic times, these home improvement projects often go undone due to many homeowner’s false perception that they are simply unaffordable. One of HRA’s core missions is to open the door to homeowners to give them access to various programs that will enable them to make an otherwise unaffordable home improvement project fit within their budget. Our HRA representatives are experts in determining which of these programs will best suit our clients’ needs and will work hand in hand with them to devise a plan that is effective and affordable.

They were supposed to provide pre-approved contractors that would do the job with no-money-down. I received one EXTREMELY OVERPRICED quote from one contractor they provided. When I asked for another contractor to provide a quote, I was told that "the program" was discontinued. Either I went with that contractor or they could not assist me further. Supposedly they are not doing any further Home Improvement work.

This is a loan program NOT affiliated with Local/State/Federal program. The say the will get you Federal "Grants" which is not true. You are essentially paying a middle man and top dollar for services you can call and do yourself. Very deceptive
Description of Work: An agent came to our house to look at our house and then went into great detail about loans he could offer. We did much better going directly to our bank and calling contractors ourselves
