This service was over the phone and they took hold of my computer and after many tries the Geek Squad got rid of this virus that just wouldn't go away, kept coming back.  Now it's gone for good.  It didn't cost anything because we had a special account with them, last time we took my husband's laptop in.  It had three owners over the years and it's still working pretty well, now that we realize it's not a new computer and to treat it like a baby.  Learned from the Geek Squad.  So, no more hooking up earphones to the laptop to hear music for hours.
The Geek Squad is very congenial, friendly and professional.  They finish what they start, if one agent does most of the job but being a virus it can be extremely hard to say good bye to, so another agent finally does finish the job.
I'm happy with the Geed Squad.  They will charge us $70 a year to be there always 24/7.  And, anyone with a computer or device of some kind knows, emergencies happen and we need someone trained in technical assistance!  Have you ever seen them work? I know my way around a computer, somewhat, but these people are trained and qualified in areas I've never seen before.
One Agent, came to our home and worked with three computers at a time, one desk top, and two laptops, you've got to have high intelligence to do what he did, he connected all of them to work well and wireless.  He set up connections and other maintenance, I thank him very much.
Lastly, the Geek Squad always does a little extra for your computer, makes sure it's running well completely and scanned.  I would recommend them from this Best Buy Store to anyone in the NY area.  I've had many technicians.  I'll pay the $70 for their services.

IT WAS FINE. IT TOOK LONGER THAN I THOUGHT. THE WORK WAS FINE, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THE COMPUTER HAD TO BE SHIPPED ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THEY DON'T DO IT ON-SITE. IT TOOK LONGER THAN ONE WOULD HAVE HOPED.

VERY GOOD. CAMCORDERS WAS REPAIRED AND RETURNED TO STORE WITHIN 1.5 WEEKS -- A QUICK TURN-AROUND. ATTITUDE OF PERSONNEL WAS POSITIVE AND HELPFUL. OVERALL A GOOD DEAL.
