Property Management
At first, when Robert F and Tina T. were our representatives they were
fair to good as far as responsiveness, etc.. Shortly after we hired
them, however, Anker assigned a new rep to us and everything changed.
This new Anker individual, William R, is partisan, unresponsive to all
but those in one special clique (i e the controlling members of the
Board) , and particularly nasty to us. We have ongoing litigation between board members; Anker sided with one group and never bothered to even speak with or ask questions of the other, even though that was who hired them!
To this day they have "blacklisted" those board members and will
neither respond to their emails nor answer their telephone calls.
The company itself has an outdated, horrendous computer system. Bills are unreadable and irrelevant: condominium invoices have terms like "Rent Roll" on them...what? We are not an apartment building! They cannot seem to produce a monthly common
charge bill without mistakes and overcharges. The support staff turns over every ten
minutes and when they do get someone who is actually good she doesn't
last long.
Anker never EVER comes to this building for any reason except to show up at the annual meeting -- they will send vendors or contractors here, but you never see an Anker rep, EVER. They deliberately thwart any attempt by a condominium to save money by using in-house talent for repairs or other services: they want those high-priced contractors in your building every chance they get, so they can get their cut.
In short, I regret the day I even invited them to this condominium....it started us on a downhill slide. Before they
managed us, we had $53,000 in our reserve fund. Now we have less than $10,000, I believe. I would fire them, but my partner and I are the two board members they have conveniently SHUT OUT of all meetings, correspondence and communication. My opinion? NEVER hire this firm!
