Wonderful. I searched extensively for a licensed, insured company to coat my low slope roof. Fortunately, I found Correll Contracting. They inspected the roof, made minor repairs, and coated it with an aluminum product that I requested. Best of all, when the job took less time than estimated, they reduced the amount of my contract. I recommend Correll Contracting most highly.

Roof inspection as I was going to sell the house. I was told it needed paint (metal roof) seams sealed/ caulked and some of the metal needed to be screwed down. The house went under contract right after and the buyers inspector found that half the work was not done only half the caulking was done, metal panels were still not screwed down. To top that the roof was not up to code, the overhang was too short I lost the sale of the home

Correll Contracting Corp. of Gloversville installed a new bi-level roof on my home this June, 2016. I am extremely pleased with the job itself. What I am even more pleased with is the crew that did the work. Watching how they worked says a lot about the company they work for. Not only did the crew leave the property clean as it was when they got there, they went beyond that. I watched as they went around the house with a cleaner wiping down any marks that might have been made by an old shingle falling. They went over the lawn with a magnet to get any nails and then they looked it over twice more. The thing that impressed me most was, at the end of the job when the last ladder was going back on the truck, the foreman stopped them from loading the last ladder. He stood the ladder up to the highest roof because he did not like the straightness of the drip edge. It looked straight to me, but he was seeing something I didn’t. He went back up and adjusted the edge until he was happy with it and then left. During the job, they removed siding and put it back up without a single break in it. Everything is straight and level. All of the edgings were perfect around chimneys and pipes. Management came after the job and went over the entire thing inspecting it. I cannot say enough good things about the crew and Correll. They are a real quality organization.

We just had a new roof 2 years ago, it’s leaking. He looked at it and said he’d be back. A young man came out and patched a hole, but it was still leaking. Once they heard that it was still leaking they didn’t come back out. They are an absolute rip-off. They never show up even though we call them each time.
Response from Correll Contracting Corp
"Correll Contracting Corp did not install this roof. We were called for a leak and did our best to fix another contractors mistake. The problem results from the contractor who installed the roof improperly. We can not warranty another contractors roof. The customer called and ordered his own material and demanded we install it. We refused to install materials that we didn't purchase and can not warranty. The contractor who installed the roof should be held liable and not Correll. -Correll Contracting Corp."

I was told the work was done and sent a bill for the balance. ($800 downpayment balance due upon completion) I had a buyer look at the home and informed me there was a hole and birds were living in the attic. When the work was being doen bricks were knocked out ot the chimney (the chimeny is 100 years old and was made with ash, it is brittle and is no longer used as a chimney) I called and asked they fix the problem. I was assured it would be fixed, but it was not addressed. The buyers made an offer conditioned on the roof being fixed. I called back again and was assured it would be addressed. As it turned out I recemented the bricks back into the two holes that were made and evicted the birds. . The roofers did clean the bird mess out. the roof failed inspection. some of the metal was not screwed down, seems were left uncaulked, flashing work was not completed. Another round with the inspector work was still not completed. I faxed the reports to Brian Correll so he could fix what was not done. Some of the work was done, but flashing is still missing and the roof still fails the inspection. The final inspection was done after I was assured all the work was complete. Flashing is still missing, the home inspection report states water could get behind the metal and rot the roof. Three months later the roof is still not done and I have lost the sale.
Response from Correll Contracting Corp
"We have a Mechanics lien in place against his property for nonpayment of services performed and completed per our contract. We are going to let the BBB arbitrate the matter, and if they cannot resolve it to our company's satisfaction, we will hand the information to our attorney to let the courts decide the matter. Our reputation has been unblemished for 33 years (after 15,000 plus roofs). Brian Correll Contracting, Inc-President"
