John and his team were amazing from the start. I contacted them with a time crunch, as I was pregnant and just moved into my home. John visited the house personally, was extremely welcoming and kind, and had a quote to me within a couple of days. We agreed and his team made quick work of the project on our first floor and almost entire second floor. Once the job began, it was done, and done well, in less than 2 days. I would absolutely trust them again for another project-and intend to contact them for exterior painting next year.

We used John Fridholm's services to have our home interior painted—walls, doors, and trim. Being new to the area, we first met with John in person and discussed our needs for the job. He provided a very fair estimate in a timely manner and we were able to have most of the job completed before our move-in date. John and Jeanette communicated with us to verify the priority areas (bedrooms). To say the job exceeded our expectations is an understatement. The work is flawless. Bear in mind this home has plaster walls and nearly every wall was full of fasteners, nails, and screw. The team of painters smoothed and filled all of these flaws and now I am debating whether to hang anything on these pristine walls! Two coats of Benjamin Moore paint was applied with a very high level of expertise. John came by to inspect the work, found a few things we didn't notice, and had his team touch up the very minor issues. We can't believe what a difference this work has made for us in moving to our new home. We would recommend John Fridholm Painting to anyone looking for high quality painting in an age where skilled work is hard to find.

Fridholm Painting was highly recommended on the Nextdoor listserv by previous clients, so we scheduled a visit for an estimate for interior and exterior painting. John Fridholm personally came to provide the estimate within a few days, and he described what would be needed given what we were requesting (primer to cover murals, stain for cedar shingles). We decided to split the work into separate jobs - interior then exterior - given our budget, although we found his estimates to be very fair. Matt did the interior work - kitchen and bedroom. He arrived exactly on time each morning for the 2-day interior job. He was very professional, did a meticulous job, cleaned up thoroughly, and was super patient with my friendly but barking dog. I highly recommend Fridholm, and we will ABSOLUTELY have them back in the spring for the exterior work.

February 2020 my family experienced a house fire resulting in heavy smoke damage. No room was untouched and repair to the walls involved everything from wall paper removal, surface prep, and priming to repainting EVERY surface in an older house with many unusual surface finishes, such as decades old wallpaper stuck to hollow core doors. John’s team did an amazing job, the finished product came out beautifully. Most importantly, everything was communicated clearly so I was comfortable with it during a personally stressful time, and invoicing was easy. Also, during the unexpected disruption of NY on Pause due to COVID-19 John’s team adhered to the new safety guidelines and still finished the job on time. The photos for the review are in areas that were previously wallpapered in at least three kinds of paper.

John was very prompt with a quote, and getting our work scheduled. He was helpful in suggesting alternate solutions to a possible fix for the popcorn ceiling. As always, they were very punctual and thorough. Everything was left very neat and John stopped back to check up after completion of the job. I have had them paint for us several times in the past and will have them again for future projects.

It went very well. It completely covered the paneling. It does not appear that I have paneling under that painting. I've hired them before.

John called to set up appointment to discuss project. He provided a quote the next day. We scheduled the work around my calendar. Painter showed up exactly on time. He brought all the equipment he needed, used drop clothes everywhere and discussed the project with me to make sure all my expectations were going to be met. He did the work as expected. Showed up on time and cleaned up everyday before leaving. This was a great experience.

John and his crew were very accommodating as to my time line of what and when I requested the work to be done. The removal of the popcorn ceiling was a huge undertaking and took slightly longer than anticipated as some areas were more difficult to remove but when all was done it looks fantastic. They painted the entire home and did an excellent job. They also came back to paint the staircase and railings and that even made the place look so much more open and bright. Fridholm Painting was so easy to work with and would use them again without hesitation. They performed a quality job at our townhome . The one thing that I wish was that I had taken before and after pictures so you could see the job well done.

This was a tight schedule project as it had to be done over the Christmas Holidays while the rowers were on school break. The work was completed on schedule in 7 working days allowing time for others to restore and seal the rubber gym floor. All the workers arrived daily on time and ready to work. Everyone was friendly and the the owner paid frequent visits to assess the work progress. As the facility manager, I could not have asked for better service!
