Overall, Mark (owner of Nail & Pails) was extremely professional and personable, and our counter top looks beautiful. Mark returned our phone call in a timely manner and was very prompt in responding to our inquiry, scheduling a visit within the week. He came to see us for a consultation to determine if the job was within the scope of his ability, which it was, and we discussed the specific details of our situation (extending counter top, not having a beveled edge, L corner, floating installation). We purchased our counter top from another retail store and Mark worked around the arrival schedule as we waited for it to come in. He also quoted us a specific price and a specific amount of time to complete the job. As far as the actual work goes, Mark was extremely detailed oriented and he took special precaution when combining the two counter tops at the corner. Rather than just gluing at the corner, he created a system to combine them underneath to create a tight joint, and used glue as a secondary support. This is just one example of how he went above and beyond expectations to provide us with a better service. Though Mark worked diligently, it took him a few extra hours to complete the job. He honored his original price despite working extra hours and was very thorough with the clean up afterward; he even volunteered to take away some of the extra old counter top! We did have some unforeseen house issues arise throughout the installation, and Mark had solutions to each one, but he also informed us of approximate prices while he was fixing the problems so we were not taken by surprise when our total was slightly higher than the quoted price. Throughout the process, Mark offered solutions to other kitchen remodeling questions (cabinet wall space, tile backsplash, etc.) and he volunteered to help us with other projects if we needed help. At the end of this process, we have a beautifully installed counter top that has held up well over time. Additionally, Mark was easy to talk to and very pleasant. I would absolutely recommend Nails & Pails for other handyman projects to both family and friends, and I will likely be using his services again in the future!

Mark was on time and professional. No problems. Mark said to call him back if there was the slightest dissatisfaction (I had no need to, every thing was perfect). I already plan on hiring him again for another project.

He was extremely respectful and courteous.? He was knowledgeable and worked slow and steady. He never ran head-long into anything.? He and I worked very well together.? While I offered my assistance often, he generally respectfully declined it.? He only accepted my assistance when it was more advantageous to both of us to accept the help.? Mark is accustomed to working alone and I respected that.? Mark was self reliant bringing his own food/water so that he never had to leave the worksite to get something to eat or drink.? I enjoyed working with Mark and will hire him again .. anytime.

Great service, on time and on budget.

the provider works alone. he is very cautious about safety around the work site. He works with the owner and /or rep for the owner. he tells how to do it, with what materials, and then does it. If this is a disagreement, he will rectify his plan to accommodate the owners wishes, or inform the owner why it can,t be done this way. The provider used all screws and lags to secure supports to the roof as well as the bottom/or anchor plates. In a project like this, it's key to have a solid structure supporting the roof , so that future repairs can be made without fear of destabilization. This provider did just that. I spot checked his work as he went on working on the project. looked very good. This provider will inform you if something is not right before he remedies the situation . Communication is essential in any construction project between the owner/rep and the provider. This provider will ask you before he executes an action/and or remedies the problem. so the Caveat is good repoure between the provider and the owner, or his representative. Without it you will have unsuspected problems, and disappointments.

I was thrilled and relieved. He called me with his approximate time of arrival and was prompt,professional and efficient completing the work. I will most definitely use him in the future.

MArk was very responsive - returned call promptly, did work promptly and according to estimate. Cleaned up after work was done. Very pleased.

It went very well. He gave me notice of when he would start the job, and showed up on time. As the work progressed I was kept informed of the progress and if he had to leave I was told about the time of departure and when he would return.
He is very careful about keeping the work area clean and neat. Nothing was left loose and all cans sealed. When the job was completed, the area was thoroughly cleaned up and all trash removed.
I could not recommend this contractor more highly and I plan on using him again.

Mark Barrett was very accessible and wonderful to work with. He was prompt and came in under budget because he was able to complete his work more quickly than he estimated. We had several odd jobs for him to do, and I was desperate to find someone for whom no job was too small. I can say from watching him that every one of these jobs was more complicated than it seemed, and I was very much impressed with his careful, no frills workmanship..
Mark Barrett is also very personable. I would ask him to do any bigger jobs without hesitation. He is as real find.
