Manicures/Nails
I went in for a fill-in for my acrylic nails. I had been using this salon for a few months, and was never thrilled with the service I received, but was the best salon in the area. The tech began removing my nails without asking me, saying they were "lifting", which I know after having acrylics for years, that they were not. I told her I did not want them taken off. She looked at me, and continued to remove my nails. After several times telling her to stop, that I didn't want a new set, repeatedly pulling my hands away, the nails were all off. She then said to me that it would be "$3 for each nail removed". I was extremely agitated at this point and told her to forget putting a new set on and give me a simple manicure. She did. When I went to pay however, she told me it would be $23. I asked why, since a manicure is only $13. She charged me $10 to remove my acrylic nails! I told her I would not pay for it because I had specifically made it clear that I did not want them removed. The women got extremely defensive and downright nasty, yelling at me in the front of the salon while other customers watched (two even came to my defense). She insisted on me paying the full amount, and I continued to refuse. After a few minutes of this, I was so irritated that I paid her in full and walked out. These people are extremely unprofessional. They took complete advantage of me and treated me like absolute garbage. While this is one of the nicer and more convenient salons in the area, I would never give them my business again, and I wouldn't recommend their services to anybody. Do not use this salon, they will take advantage of you and use the language barrier as an excuse to rip you off.
