Trees Plus Tree Service

They did work for me in the spring after the nor'easters, and did a good, if somewhat messy job, but reasonably priced. Had to pay my regular lawn care company to clean up the debris they left behind. However, called them multiple times after the May storm and finally got an appointment for an estimate on 6/27/18, which was well over two weeks. They never showed up nor cancelled. Called them several times more to re-schedule but they will NOT return my call. I could NOT recommend this place to anyone, in spite of the decent job they did for me in the spring, which is the ONLY reason I'm giving grades of "B" in the first three categories and not "F". I've wasted months while this fallen tree still lies in front of my shed, and another one leaning against a different tree, just waiting for the next storm to take them both down.

They did an awesome job. Not only did they grind down the stumps, we have almost an acre of land and they removed maybe 12 to 15 stumps, and they made sure all of it was leveled. They had to remove the stump grindings to make it level, they removed everything. They did a perfect job. They took down at least 6 to 7 trees. They were on time. It was 2 days worth of work. We’ve been using them for 6 years.

Found this company  through a friend of a friend's recommendation.  Family owned business, Robert (father) provides quotes & performs some work, son (Robert) also runs crews, wife handles all admin & phone calls. 
Cons: Robert Sr. was a no show for my estimate 3-4 times.  However, he was coming from afar and he had rave reviews from others so I gave him another shot.  I was not disappointed.  I ordered top soil but there was a ton of debris in it.  NOTE: I've also ordered top soil locally & from established places previously atr 3x the cost and received the same junk so I expected this.  Grass did grow perfectly the following spring.

Everything else!  Pricing at end of season (November) was phenomenal.... phenomenal! 
Quality: Robert Jr. ran the crew & handled the large commercial grade grinder.  The rest of the crew set to work immediately & worked all day.  My neighbors had some work done as well (later that day even) when they saw the quality of the work.  These guys dropped large trees like nothing I've ever seen, it was a bit scary how quickly & efficiently they did it.  Trees feel near house but exactly where they were supposed to given size of the yard.  I haven't seen anyone, anyone work as hard as these guys in quite some time. 
It may take a while for the company to respond & provide a quote, but you won't be let down.   Also, no down payment required, they took payment when I was satisfied with their work.   They worked so hard we paid the contract price + tip + pizza for lunch.  For all my other negative reviews, please note that I also treat good contractors very well.  I tip decently for good/great work and provide lunch when feasible.  
 

Completed most work same day. Some root work, chip removal mailbox install not completed to date.. Owner did a great job initially however but failed to come back as stated to complete additional stump grinding missed on original work as well as replace mailbox and spread pile of wood chips.

Everything with them went excellent. I've used them a few times before. They were rather quick. Their people work extremely hard and fast. It was less time than what they said it would. The price is decent.

Well What can I say to convey Just how Great Robert was... This man is a SAINT! Everything has so much exceeded my expectations... He took what was an un-usable side of my house, and transformed it into a place I can now enjoy... And best of all I have no worries about someone trying to traverse the side where there were litterally a Hundred Above ground Roots that were 8and quot; diameter, and 6and quot; high, and breaking their ankles... My House was a Jungle, and Robert turned it into a show piece... I can't believe it when I drive up to the house, it's like it isn't mine. His courtious staff was wonderful, Professional, and timley.... I wish there was an above A rating. Thank You Robert!

I got the quote and they scheduled the work for the very next week. Did the job quickly and professionally and did a good job of and quot;tidying upand quot; afterwards too.

Very professional, courteous. Work became more extensive after second large tree was found to be damaged. Extra cost was unexpected.

They did a good job. I spent about $350. I have used them a few times now. I would continue to use them again in the future.

Robert gave us a quote to trim several trees, one which was hanging right over our house. Their trimming plan was more complete than the quotes I got from three other companies, and their price was very competitive. On the day of the trimming, they arrived on time and were able to complete the job in one day. I had requested they leave some of the chopped wood for mulch, and they left it right on the driveway where I needed it. They were even willing to dump it on the flower bed to make less work so I wouldn't have to move it. They cleaned up the yard and the only way you could tell they had been here was that the trees had been trimmed. I highly recommend Trees Plus.

Robert was very nice and courteous. Gave us a quote wayyyyyy lower than other companies for the amount of work that they did it I felt like I got more than my money's worth. One tree that was taken down was right at my neighbors fence and another tree that needed to be pruned had some branches overhanging my neighbors backyard. Everything was done safely and quickly. It took them almost 5 hours to do all the work. But to do ALL that in 5 hours, very efficient. Although there was a miscommunication between the scheduled day of work, they actually had to squeeze in my project in their schedule coz we were putting up a fence this weekend and we appreciated that. I felt they went over and beyond what was required for them to do. We would definitely recommend them to everyone and we would not hesitate to call them again for tree work. Doug and his staff were also nice and hard workers, after they were done, they cleaned up and hauled everything away. What more can we say? Hire them.

Mr Hamilton called ahead and was punctual on the estimate visit. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, considerate, friendly and polite. His quote was substantially less than other companies, but more important his integrity and professionalism outshone his competition as well. He scheduled the work immediately when I told him I was ready. He performed the work quickly and efficiently and cleaned up beautifully. There was a dwarf Japanese maple tree right next to the tree being removed, it was not harmed at all during the process. There was not a twig or scrap of bark to be found anywhere from the dead tree. It is as if the tree were never there at all. His wife Joanne was very helpful and patient in assisting me on the phone as well. Outstanding service from a truly nice people

Came and gave me an estimate on September 12 and scheduled an appointment for October 6th 2010.. Was punctual courteous and pleasant. The crew showed up on time. They removed a large red oak tree efficiently by using tree climbers. They ground the stump and did a very good job of cleaning up.They also removed a large limb from another tree at no additional charge. I would definitely have them back

the owner Robert Hamilton came in late summer to evaluate the job. He was on-time. Robert seemed very knowledgeable as we walked around the yard and discussed various options. He gave me his estimate before leaving and since it was extremely reasonable I called the office and set a date. I have used three other companies over the years and I knew that this was the best price I was going to get. I took a chance based on the reviews on Angie's List, Robert's manner and knowledge, the ease with which I can contact his company since someone answers the phone or calls back immediately. I'm very happy that I went with Trees Plus. On the day of the job, the crew arrived on-time and got to work immediately. They were extremely friendly, professional, and hard-working. They did everything they said without my having to remind them. The job took a day and a half. Clean up was thorough. Robert was there most of the time and followed up at the end to make sure everything was done correctly. He had to bring in another company to remove the down trees since they were so huge. Robert was there the whole time to make sure the truck removing the trees did not damage our driveway or lawn. Trees Plus will be my tree company in the future as long as they provide such outstanding service.

They are reliable. They are reasonably priced. They clean up after themselves. They get the job done. They are very professional. They came with a crew with 5 people. He gave a really reasonable price for the amount of work that was done.

Except for the increased light in my kitchen, you never would have known they were there. Friendly, courteous staff in the office AND out in the field. I don't usually gush about contractors (I am one), but when you get a reasonably priced company to execute flawlessly, that is a good day. I could not be happier. This is my latest "Go - To" company!

It went very well. The crew showed up earlier than I they had originally told me (one thing that would have been nice to know in advance- but not a big deal). They were very efficient with their work and did everything they said they would do. One worker accidentally cut some wires to our outdoor AC unit- we took some pictures in case evidence was needed since we didn't notice it until after the crew left. We quickly got the problem fixed, called Trees Plus and we were reimbursed without any conflicts by Joanne (we did not even need to show any photo evidence). They are an honest family run company- there aren't too many of these co's around still. The work was done well by a hard working crew.

I was pleased with the work. I have used this company before. The owner came promptly to give me an estimate and the job was scheduled for a week later. It had to be rescheduled because of rain, but they came the following week. The owner was not on site during the job as he had been the last time, but they still did a good job. I thought the price was reasonable.
